Friends, people of PNG, some or a smart SELFISH mogul is well behind all these events that have been unfolding over the last couple of months. It is no coincidence. The way they are happening demonstrates existence of a drawn up strategy that guides the execution of all these activities to reach a certain goal/objective. Let me give you this, it is my personal perspective to qualify my claim above

1. The Maladina Bill
Initially we had the Maladina bill, seeking to not only amend the OC act but also to do some repealing and additions. These came about after many parliamentarians were investigated or summoned over the last two years, almost at every turn to declare their business involvements, assets or other business activities as required by the leadership code. Most are government boys. To top it off, the OC grabbed the Chiefs collar for non-submission of acquittals.

2. The Environmental Act.
This came about when the PM and NEC was trying to bulldoze operations at the Ramu Nickel through, even when the obvious was very visible. There were issues with the environment that needed to be resolved. These issues were obvious to the semi-literate of the area, but seemed to be very obscured or PLAIN ignorance from the house tambaran.

3. The Mining papers.
Now they are saying it is K100.00 a copy and there are almost five sets of papers. K500.00 to have them all,
and consultation with a select group of Stakeholders after 10th July.
What this is in effect is doing is putting those documents out of the reach of even a literate genuine citizen, who has the brain that operates more rationally and logically than that of that so called CHIEF and his boys to give his/her bit before the policy goes through.
In short,

OC Bill - Don' touch me. Eyes on hands off.

Environment Act - Landowners you are not

Environmentalists. As long as DEC Issues Certificates. You shut up.

Mining Papers: Select stakeholders. Ensure I have all the good comments and evidence to support
adherence to proper transparent process to bail from future litigation issues if there have to be any. Now go ahead with all these

Policies: I have the OC under control, they won't touch me now: The DEC with amendments done. No more Environmental court issues. Chinese go ahead make money. I want to be rich, retain power in the next election.

Is that not a well thought out plan?
On another note, can this be called a DISGUISED DICTATORSHIP? A well masked up form of it?

    Terry, they want to make heaps of money and you can't do that without land. Except now everyone realises you don't have to kill the landowners and you don't even need to get land title. All you need are the RIGHTS to the land and you're on your way to becoming a millionaire. But that requires that you get rid of some obstacles, FIRST being any watchdogs who might disapprove of your actions and SECOND being an effective customary landowner advocacy for land rights. The whole land reform/land registration movement is part and parcel of this and why else would Puka Tema, PNG's own Mr Land Rights Stealing Advocate, not have less than the Deputy PMship, the Minister of Lands portfolio and now the Dept Finance portfolio.

    ALL THEY NEED IS THE RIGHTS TO OUR LAND. In other words, all they need to convince us customary landowners is to register our land. Once that occurs, they can make whatever deals they have to make to get the goods - the wealth of our land - while we end up with a paltry monthly payment or royalties that are nothing in comparison with the money THEY are making.

    It's all about land, Terry. Everyone knows that PNG is rich in resources but not for much longer. They've got to grab what they can now. The Chinese are doing this all over the developing world, not only in PNG. They could give a rats ass about whether our resources help our development, what they care about is that PNG'S RESOURCES HELP CHINA'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

    We're being sold down the toilet to so-called 'foreign investors' and the tragedy of it is that only a few Papua New Guineans and expats truly care or realise the horror that this trend will bring to our children and grandchildren.

AUGUSTINE MANO PNG'S PREMIER CORPORATE CROOK

The court ruled that MRDC's appeal was an "abuse of process" and ordered the company to pay costs of the proceedings. MRDC, a unit holder in PBF, had taken legal action against the National Court's decision to dismiss its case, arguing that the court had no jurisdiction to hear the matter. MARAPE & PAITA ABOUT TO SIGN AWAY PNG GOLD

They have given approval for the STATE of Papua New Guinea to sign away all gold rights to an Australian paper company in Refinery Holdings PTE LTD.
