Our Prime Minister's own back is dirty - Southern Highlands Education sector managed by criminals

By Mogol High School Teacher

1. Ialibu/Pangia community suspected women head teacher murderer still heads the SHP Education Administration.

2. Kagua Secondary School’s still waits for the refund of its K84,000.00, part payment of compensation demand paid to the deceased women teacher’s relatives.

3. The murdered women teacher’s brother, a School Board Chairman and a SHP PEB member forcefully owns the Pangia TVET School. 2012-2014 school subsidies withdrawn for personal use. In fact, the school’s cheque book is privately kept by the School Board Chairman in his village.

4. In 2012, transferring Pangia TVET School’s double classroom to Mendi Police Barracks - North Kagua waste land; cleared site to build a private guest house. The person who alerted the authorities fled the province after hired heavily armed Mendi Police raided his premises in Pangia Station for three (3) consecutive times.

5. Pangia TVET School copied and sold the controversial 2012 National Exam Answer Sheets. 1000’s of students were denied (blacklisted) in tertiary education. Arranged by Mr. James Kalesi of NDoE-Guidance Office to SHP Education Administration then to Pangia TVET School.

6. SHP TVET and Enga TVET Schools refund K200,000.00 bride price to Wabags, arranged by SHP Education Advisor and SHP TVET Inspector. The bride is the nephew of the SHP Education Advisor and daughter of the SHP TVET Inspector. Trans-border robbery of TVET Schools in two provinces.

7. Pangia Secondary School’s 2011 K1 million RESI funds misused by Kagua/Erave District Treasurer; a public servant; Hilary Waku’s Building Construction company. National Building Board deregulated infrastructure setup and overcrowding the school parameters, posing health risks and fire hazards.

8. Certain percentage of school subsidies paid to Education Advisor for his expensive signature for approvals on every school withdrawals. He and the TVET Inspector makes about K500,000.00 annually from every school subsidy coming to the schools’ accounts.

9. The same group diverted the course of Police Investigation for SHP School’s K49.8 million RESI funds and Mogol Secondary School’s K3.5 million RESI funds misuse in 2010.The Ombudsman Commission is aware of this millions of kina that went to each district’s trust account without trace and not to the schools.
Since 2013, we repeatedly notified Mr. Sam Koim’s group but rings on deaf man’s ears. Even the National Department of Education has known this mafia group but remain silent over these issues. 4 to 5 years trade mark of official corruption that warrants immediate investigation and arrest.

In the pretext of delivering humanitarian service to vast population; murder, stealing, bribery, threatening, hijacking involved and also ransom held on Pangia TVET School. This mafia group employed by the National Department of Education (NDoE), hiding behind the system, terrorizing every resource meant for education developments. It all reflects to the key suspected murderer on the chair, paying a lip-service; having the field day ransacking school subsides, assets, trans-border school robberies and threatening school head teachers to resolve their personal greed.

Southern Highlands Province is prone to political podiums creating dooms day cults, make-belief rocket science political theories without much substance at ground zero level. Recent Sector Reviews and again Treid Pacific for School Tuition Fee service delivery reflect shadow of political ambiguous renderings.
We think that we own the high executive office and acting as if we are above the laws of this country. Can this mafia group referred to the law for investigation so that they’d be given proper treatment of their symptom?
