NASFUND's in house fun while members suffer



Dear Bank of PNG and NASFUND Board,

I am a NASFUND member that is dead broke thanks to NASFUND. ANZ nearly repossessed my house so I had to borrow heavily from wantoks and street money sellers to pay off my arrears. I was without employment when my employer did a restructure in 2013. To put bread and butter on the table and pay for school fees, I used the little finish pay to buy and sell gold. This was not at all enough to help me service my mortgage with ANZ. After three months of unemployment in November 2013, I submitted a temporary unemployment withdrawal form with NASFUND. This was knocked back by NASFUND staffs the reason being they saw in my account I was depositing money from gold buying and selling. In the meantime I continued to rack up housing loan arrears with ANZ and all my request for NASFUND to help me withdraw my funds to pay off my housing loan dinau didn’t go anywhere with NASFUND.

I did some investigations on NASFUND and just realised that while I am suffering, CEO Tarutia and NASFUND staffs are living a life in ROME thanks to our contributions. Due to my unbearable suffering and for the benefit of many members who are not aware that NASFUND is sliding back to NPF days, I would like to bring to the attention of everyone.

CEO Tarutia Breaks the Superannuation Act to Help Himself

Tarutia was only eligible for K30,000 as his Housing Eligibility. The ANZ Bank however required K84,000 for a deposit so Tarutia can buy a housing in Cairns (2012) and move his family there. Tarutia breached the Superannuation Act and wrote himself a cheque of K84,000 from NASFUND to ANZ.

CEO Tarutia Engineers NASFUND Housing Policy to Benefit Himself
NASFUND has an employee housing policy where after 5 years they will be eligible for NASFUND to give them an amount equivalent to their current annual salary for the purpose(s) of buying or building a house.  Tarutia cunningly, slipped a revised housing policy to the Board to approve so that staffs are eligible for a second housing policy after 10 years. Tarutia gained from this exercise with an amount over K500,000 to buy a house in Cairns.

This is an excess and daylight robbery of member funds to benefit Tarutia so he can buy a house in Cairns to put his family there. Tarutia and one other staff were the only two people eligible for this policy. Many other staff will have been recruited to NASFUND around the age of 25 or beyond and would NOT come close to retirement and wouldn’t be eligible for it. Tarutia joined NASFUND at around 17 years of age so that policy in practical terms would only apply to him.

BPNG should investigate this excess policy and get Tarutia to repay all members funds that he engineered the NASFUND staffs Housing Policy to benefit himself.

Tarutia is now going around the Board of Directors to increase his pay. His base pay is on something like K1 million and other board fees he collects from sitting on the board of NSAFUND subsidiary companies or companies the Fund has major shareholdings in brings the total to K1.2 million per annum. Any pay rises for the CEO should be based on performance alone and in that regard NASFUND has done awfully bad on the operational front. I am still suffering from standing in long queues just to show face and hoping NASFUND might change its mind by putting itself in my struggles and pay me out so I can pay off my housing loan arrears. My phone calls and emails end up at dead ends so I have had no choice but to occasionally show up at a NASFUND office so I can talk to someone.

CEO Tarutia Seals Doriga Soge’s Lips
Doriga Soge, one of Tarutia’s corporate lovers was fuming when staff many years younger than her were being on the same entry level pay she was on. In bedroom talks, she insisted that since she was older and more senior than other staff, her pay should be at a higher level. To shut her up, Tarutia gave her a title of Second In-Charge of the NASFUND Communications Centre so that can be used as a reason to boost her salary up – not performance-based.

To spice things up for Ms Soge, Tarutia also gave her a CEO’s award in 2014 besides two other staff. This is for outstanding staff performance, however, Soge’s performance is way below average and earned this award from another decision of Tarutia for personal gains.

Wantok System in Recruitment & Staff Punishment
Ceslie Ila HR Manager recruited her relatives to 10 jobs at NASFUND in the space of 12 months in 2013 to 2014. An example his that she recruited her brother and sister-inlaw to work at NASFUND in 2013. The HR Manager also recruited many more relatives and wantoks to work right across NASFUND and NCSL.

Tarutia heard about staffs gossiping about the HR Manager’s daylight wantok systems and rounded everyone up and told them to stop the gossips which were unfounded. He eventually admitted by owning up to certain staffs that the HR Manager was doing Wantokism as the rumour mill was never going to stop unless the CEO addressed the root cause. Though the CEO acknowledged Wantokism in recruitment, he has turned a blind eye to this issue and it has continued on.

Mauri Kala PA to TARUTIA acting as Corporate Wife
It is not a secret that NASFUND staffs refer to Ms Kala a former Air Niugini Air Hostess as CEO Tarutia’s Corporate Wife.
She controls the NASFUND Corporate vehicles and directs the drivers to take her wherever she wants to go including for her own personnel and family reasons. A recent example is she txted Tarutia in Australia to be driven to her Gaire Village one Friday night at 8pm. Tarutia gave her that approval. On the way to Gaire and back, the driver, Corporate Wife of the CEO (Mauri Kala) and the Papuan Tribe had just too many alcoholic refreshments. The driver drove back at 11pm and since he was overly drunk, he ran the vehicle off the road and damaged it beyond repair. It was a brand new vehicle that cost K100,000 of NASFUND members money to buy. The driver was never sacked, let alone being disciplined because he is related to Ceslie the HR Manager and Mauri Kala the Corporate Wife of CEO Tarutia. Tarutia has his lips sealed because he gave the approval to his Corporate Wife to use the Office vehicle after hours for personal reasons. He is already implicated himself and can’t do any decisions to sack the driver or the Corporate Wife for writing off the NASFUND vehicle.

While on the other hand, other NASFUND staffs were sacked, banned from driving office vehicles or currently paying off minor damages. However, Tarutia’s Corporate Wife is unsackable.

Corporate Wife to the CEO Tarutia Travels the World using NASFUND members money
Tarutia sent Mauri Kala to Singapore to do some PA course (or should we say learning intercourse to service the CEO) for one week that cost NASFUND members K40,000. And then two weeks later using members funds she is sent to Fiji on the pretext of seeing NASFUND’s Change CONsultant so she can spend a week in Fiji having a Holiday. This trip cost NASFUND members another K10,000 within the space of two months.

Change CONsultant Ripping of NASFUND Members K500,000 per Annum
This is legalized corruption. The CONsultant was recruited in 2012 for only six months, then it got extended another six months. Then another year. Then another year continuously over-extending his stay by making himself indispensable to NASFUND.

This is happening under eyes of Bank of PNG. CEO Tarutia and Governor of BPNG Loi Bakani are the very best of drinking buddies who drink themselves into day breaks every time they meet. Tarutia is so incompetent he will find any way to go to bed with Bank of PNG or NASFUND’s Board of Directors whom Tarutia increased their annual board fees by 100% in 2013 each from the Chairman down. This has compromised the members watchdog on NASFUND (BPNG) so they are turning a blind eye to Tarutia’s incompetence, lack of integrity and character.

Staff Sex Orgy at NASFUND
There are 8 staff couples at NASFUND (or 16 staffs). The only thing that NASFUND staffs get up to is to screw each other’s brains being led by the Chief Rat Officer’s awesome foursome and many more other female staffs that he sleeps with. The staffs on the pretext of working on the weekends and after hours, use the office to bang each other.

Tarutia once slept with Doriga Soge at one of his expatriate friends (Paul Harris’) house during a binge drinking session. After sleeping, Tarutia and Soge were so drunk that they left the room door flung open and fell into a deep sleep while being 100% NAKED. It was a very good show for the group that was part of the binge drinking session. To exert her claim over Tarutia Ms Soge confides to her friends that Tarutia and her slept often at Magila Motel opposite IBS, 6 Mile, Port Moresby. And when Tarutia makes her unhappy, she spreads the unpleasant stories too. They slept one time at that 6 Mile place in the night. Without leaving any bus or taxi fare for her, Tarutia quickly dressed and bolted. Ms Soge had to walk from 6 Mile to Boroko at 10pm in the Dark.

In 2013, Tarutia slept with Airi Kapu a couple of times. Once following their function at the Airways Hotel with the presence and awareness of all staffs because he was too drunk and too horny to care.

NASFUND’s Change CONsultant Sitivenie Waleilakeba also slept wutg Raela Wari following NASFUND’s 2013 Christmas Function. The CONsultant nearly ran down Hardware Haus and was on the chopping blocks before NASFUND threw him a lifeline.
