By Year 4 Unitech student The very important gathering in 2 years of Unitech saga opened late on Friay afternoon. It was led by the attorney general Kerenga Kua who did most of the talking.   Also speaking was Sir Nagora Bogan who is heading the new Unitech council and pushed back the attempt by old council Ralph Saulep to take ove again.  Sir Nagora was given the warm welcome by the crowd of many hundreds.  We all support this man who has stood up to the evil influences. The speakers, mainly Attorney General, told us that the Unitech problem had been solved.  The government had resisted the attempt by old council member Saulep to be the Chancellor again.   Mr Saulep was in Port Moresby but government successfully moved for the first meeting of the new council to be on Unitech campus.  Mr Saulep would be too frightened to enter the Unitech campus.  He was absent from the meeting but other members of the old council appeared and dulyelected Sir Nagora as the new Chancellor. For some time stories have been growing about corruption at unitech  while Albert Schram was kept out of PN.G Some of these stories are now revealed while others still whispered.  As more evidence is building it seems we will be needing a formal  investigation into the matter. Senior executives know these stories themselves generally. Why did  they not open up and deal with the stories directly? This is a sign of  guilt and trying to hide the truth. Why are so many different stories now circulating about monkey  business that went on between one senior executive manager in  particular helping other staff make business deals with Unitech? Are we as nationals incapable of resisting all the money temptations  that most Europeans seem to resist easily?  I'm talking about the  temptation to quietly ask for bribes or kickbacks from those who  deliver goods and services to Unitech.   Also the temptation of  setting up private companies and then making deals with senior  executive manageme

By Unitech Resident Acting VC John Pumwa and and Pro VC Macquin Maino have unfortunately become the crybabies of the senior executive management team, exuding bitterness concerning their fall from the top and blaming everyone but themselves for their predicament. They block from their minds that their leadership failed to dialogue appropriately and early enough with students, created more anger than harmony each time they met, and caused the present standoff.    Subsequently the SRC hasn’t talked with them in weeks and took over the functioning of the campus the moment the SEM stood down and the administration building was closed.     Generally the students are keeping the campus in just about as good shape, as much so as Pumwa and Maino did when they were working.  There was a bit of problem in the dorms for a few nights with rowdy students recently but it seems to be corrected.  Of recent boycotts this has been the most peaceful.  Outside troublemakers never had a chance to create pr
