JOHN PASKA LOST TOUCH WITH REALITY OF ECONOMIC MISMANAGEMENT THREATENING THE DEMOCRACY.

by LEKEM LAKI

Is it for real that John Paska is well and life in Moresby? Thought he retired from being a unionist and living in the land of bilas peles. I am surprised but he may well have been sleeping on the steering wheel and forgot all about truck load of workers until students and bystanders on the road yield at him and he woke up to his sense.

His stance on gross mismanagement of country’s affairs cutting across every strata of society affecting the normal way of life in this cash driven post-modern society was in complete silence. He is only known to be alive coming out in the print media (post courier dated 10/5/16) chanting “Paska sees boycott as threat to democracy”.

Where the hell Paska was all these time? Democracy was under immense threat since Peter O’Neil took over the legitimate government of Chief Sir Michael Somare? People like Paska is the living proof or testament of how corrupt he is condemning the students for a noble act.
If you (J. Paska) can’t provide the leadership at the crucial time when the country is politically at the cross road, then don’t open your fate mouth and talk smart. You not only let down the workers your assume to represent but yourself, your family, your community, your province and country as a whole. You have let down everyone.

Leadership isn’t a commodity that is bought and sold at any price tag. When the going gets tough, that’s when a true leader, as needle is to the pole, stands up to be counted for the greater good of the common people.

John Paska falls in the same category of PO using selected few as mere tools being used as decoy promoting PO propaganda in the likes of Isaac Lupari, Powes Parkop, Nick Kuman, James Marape, Peter Ipatas and others calling students to return to classes. Students aren’t fighting for anyone but for themselves. Surely they know, under this tyrant regime future of this country is not safe and secure and they won’t be of any useful asset. Boycotting classes is a noble act because the totalitarian regime is in absolute denial promoting cronyism and foreign companies at the peril of the people.

Given the proliferation of massive corruption and staggering statistics underpinning gross corruption beginning with Prime Minister, rogue Police Commissioner, Central Bank Governor, Treasury Secretary, Finance Minister, Justice Minister, Chief Secretary, not to mention other ministers and bureaucrats, people of Paska’s calibre had the audacity to make damming claim, boycotting classes threatens the democracy is a shame.

Paska, there is no rationale in your purported statement and no thinking PNGean will ever belief your assertion except corrupt retinue of advisors like yourself continuously devising counter moves and help a political fugitive Prime Minister who lives under intense police security. Your purported claim is purposely calculated and intentional just like other faceless people appearing before camera claiming they are mandated on nothing less but thievery for affluent lifestyle.
John Paska was known to be stunned since the reign of Peter O’Neil. The writing is clear on the wall that the country is on a nose dive. It is evident due to lack of prudent leadership and management managing the country’s economy. A known thief well backed up by his track record of thievery is at the helm running the economy down and all indicators are there and yet, so called educated fools, blinded by want of material gain, continue to prop a tyrant ruthless regime and John Paska is no exception.

So, Paska, let me put to you these questions, you are asserting that what D. Vele and L. Bakani conspired to facilitate K50 million transaction for the purported arrangement for purchase of two gas turbine gen sets was legal and legitimate? Are you also implying the notion that what the rogue PC G. Baki and his predecessor did or doing constituting contempt of court on numerous occasions does not constitute threatening the democracy of the country but the student boycotting only does? Furthermore, Greg Shepherd and Harvey Maladina exposed corruption on SBS report of taking bribery in drips and draps does not constitute threat to democracy of the country but student boycotting only can? Or, are you of the firm view that action of Chief Migration Officer denying entry of two Australian QCs (Egan & Lambert) does not in any way constitute threat to democracy? Who is your fool you endeavour to brainwash? May be, you can brainwash the people of bilas peles but rest of PNG aren’t fools like yourself!

The higher you go at an accelerated pace, the harder it is when you fall. For any noble thing you do in life, there is longevity of life and one would enjoy every bit of his or her fruit of labour. However, should one takes the shortcut to get to the pinnacle in an accelerated pace, it will be short-lived to enjoy the accumulated wealth dishonestly.
