RUKIM ORR YA ORR MONI PES

NIUGINI OUTLOOK

Yesterday we watched poor Mark Joseph do his best trying to argue against the baby sense thinkers on the big FB discussion sites. We never get involved in these discussions. We knew that friend Mark was wasting his time trying to argue against the irrational. Baby sense thinkers are illogical by definition and nothing Joseph was going to say, no matter how packed with facts, was going to sway their minds.
The baby sense thinkers will probably shut their eyes when they see the poster that accompanies this article but it is the most substantiated information that has come out so far - that the PM has more than enough MPs to beat back a Vote of No Confidence.

We wonder also what the baby sense thinkers say about their rallying around every false posting yesterday about the growing, growing members in the Opposition camp. First it was 11, then 20, 30, 40, 60, and are we hearing 80???? The whole thing was hilarious and so many baby sense thinkers believed it all, just like they will believe it next time it happens. Analyse. Reflect. Contemplate. Weigh. That's the kind of brain activity that we encourage.

The Opposition was always in an uphill battle and thankfully they didn't let that discourage them. They still fought the legal battle necessary to keep Peter O'Neill from completing his dismantlement of Parliament's ability to challenge the PM's power. Good on Don Polye for that one.

The problem is, Don Polye carries around a lot of unpleasant baggage, also known as "sleeze", "corruption allegations", "ego" and with respect to Peter O'Neill, "vindictiveness". You put Polye up against O'Neill and any thinking person sees nothing but 2 nearly evenly matched Kings of Corruption fighting each other for exclusive rights to drink from the national treasury. It will forever remain unconscionable what Don Polye did in conjunction with Peter O'Neill in 2012 to cook up the K500 Supplementary Budget scam that was specifically designed to funnel huge amounts of taxpayers money via DSIP pipelines to fund T.H.E and PNC candidates to buy votes at the local level. What honest or largely honest MP sees Don Polye as a more attractive role model than Peter O'Neill?

Then there is the fact that Peter O'Neill has his hands on all the money while Don Polye does not. We can expect that O'Neill is handing all his loyal MPs an early, tax free Christmas present courtesy of the Grand Dictator himself. Coming as a 'donation' from the Mineral and Petroleum resources landowners, it's probably all perfectly legal (yet highly unethical) to pay off his MPs.

The shouting and cheering by the baby sense thinkers about Ben Micah coming over to the Opposition side is only humorous in that they were being completely blinded by Micah's own anger and vindictiveness in being kicked out of his slush fund job managing the State Owned Enterprises. We're sure we'll see Micah slinking back to join the government soon enough. So much for Ben Micah's high ethics and character. He never had any.

Peter O'Neill must go but we will never get rid of him as long as Baby Sense prevails. Baby Sense thinking during the student boycotts wasted a very large amount of time. We cannot waste any more time entertaining baby sense thoughts.

Murray Moses and the Air Niugini pilots, including Captain Markop, are doing things more sensibly than anyone. The nurses union is joining in. Everyone needs to stop work. Not on Friday, but starting tomorrow. That is the only way to put enough pressure on the government MPs to move over quickly to the Opposition.
Don Polye needs to throw in the towel and give the Alternate PM's position to someone whose corruption and ethical lapses are not so obvious that anyone typing their name and the word 'corruption' into a search engine won't be able to dig dirt up on.
Will the Baby Sense thinkers stay home and finally do something sensible that has a chance of pushing O'Neill out of power? Stay home sick, starting tomorrow. Then go back to your keyboarding.

HERE IS THE VERY RECENT PNG LOOP ARTICLE:
Government number strong at 91
PNG LOOP

Minister for Finance and Leader of Government Business, James Marape, says Government numbers are strong.
“I assure all our investors, business community and citizens that our Government numbers stand with People’s National Congress Party at 59, National Alliance at 14, United Resource Party at 8 and a number from People’s Progress Party, New Generation Party, SDP, People’s Democratic Movement and other independents,” Minister Marape said.
“We have 91 Members of Parliament in the Government as we speak.
“Contrast that with the 17 Members who were with the Opposition in Parliament on Friday.
“Whilst it is their democratic right to exercise section 145, the unstable image of the country being portrayed continues to derail work and development and investment in this country.
"I ask all political party leaders to come to the Parliament with your numbers.
"In this term of parliament, our Prime Minister and government has been facing many battles sponsored by politicians.
“We will see you all this Friday in Parliament and you will have your day to show your numbers.”
Marape said this after welcoming the opportunity for members of the Government caucus to take a week to review policies in Milne Bay Province. They will be doing this in the lead-up to the return to Parliament on Friday.
More than 80 Government MPs left for Milne Bay this morning from Jackson’s airport.
(Prime Minister Peter O’Neill, left, and his MPs set to leave for Alotau, Milne Bay Province, this morning.)
