HUON MP ROSS SEYMOUR LOST PNG CITIZENSHIP AT AGE 19 WHILE MAINTAINING AUSSIE PASSPORT - BROKE LAW, UNQUALIFIED TO BE MP

by MICHAEL J PASSINGAN

There is a particular Member of Parliment who according to the constitution lost his PNG Citizenship upon reaching the age of 19 by maintaining an Australian Passport. He then spent several years living and working in Australia as well as in PNG working as an "expatriate" on a work visa and work permit, It wasn't until he when reached the age of 45 that he renounced his Australian Citizenship and quietly started using a PNG Passport again. The following year, 2012, he stood for election and became a member of Parliment.

Now back then there was no dual citizenship law and the constitution was very clear. If you were a child with one forgien parent you had to choose which citizenship you were to maintain after your 19th Birthday. If you maintained a forgien citizenship after this time you automatically lost your PNG Citizenship as a matter of Law. So what this means is that we have a sitting member of Parliment who lost his PNG Citizenship 27 years before he ran for election.

All of this information is freely avaliable from Australia under the freedom of information act. Proof that the MP was activly using an Aussie Pasport right up until the age of 45. Well past the cut of age of 19 as per our constitution.

According to the law this member of Parliment lost his PNG Citizenship in 1985 and is therefore not entitled to occupy that seat.

The MP and his wife who also did the same thing with her citizenship a couple of years before him are running a failed trucking company and cattle farm, they have a reputation for never paying their bills or their staff on time yet they live the lavish jetsetting lifestyle of millionaires all at the expense of the district he serves.

Mr 15 pecent lives on a sprawling Ranch akin to a lavish homestead one sees on tv such as the Ponderosa on Bonanza or Southfork on Dallas with all the modern conveniences including electricity, water, airconditioning and a guest wing. Right beside the very people he is representing in Parliment, except they live in houses made from kunai and sago leaves and walk for kilometres to collect water under the light of their kerosine lamps.
