CORRUPTION AND COVERUP BY THE PRIME MINISTER IN WESTERN PROVINCE.

Image
by  WILLY GOINARENG Nothing much has changed about the Character and nature of Peter  “ O’Steal” O’Neil  and Mr Jimmy “Gimme” ( or else I will screw you up!) Maladina, Philip “ Ever Elusive” Eledume, except a few grey fringes and receding hairlines. Perhaps a little older and a little wiser , in the art and craft of deception and stealing from the public purse, a little smarter at using public offices for private gain. Same old dancers in their same old shoes. The recent PNG Blogs article about Peter O’Neil  appointing Brian Pebo, his cousin as Administrator to Western Province was and is and will remain a subject of bad humor. Brian Pebo is from Pangia and is a cousin to Peter ONeill. He is named Brian after Peter ONeill’s own father Brian O’Neill. Peter appointed cousin Brian to look after the Western Province loot so that they can in the pretext of good government and administration loot the whole lot, or at least most. Well, why not? No one is looking, and what people don’t kn

PETER O'NEILL'S KNOWN LEECHES AT WORK TO DEFRAUD WESTERN PROVINCE

Image
by CAMPBELL SMITH Peter O'Neill is moving quickly to steal as much before bowing out of politics in 2017. His recent acts is to steal from the Western Provincial Government while there is no Governor and Provincial Administrator, he appointed a caretaker Provincial Administrator of the Province from his same electorate of Ialibu Pangia and also from his same area of Pangia, a Brian Pebo. Brian Pebo was a former magistrate in Mendi before he was appointed as the provincial administrator of Southern Highlands but was suspended after was involved in stealing and mismanaging monies. He is related to Peter O'Neill. We now know that Peter O'Neill's controlled crooks are in play to steal as much from the Western Provincial Government, his crooks are Jimmy Maladina and the only MP from Western Province in Parliament and PNC Party member, Roy Biyama. 1. NORTON ROSS FULL BRIGHT POM OPENING SHOULD BE WELCOMED?

Image
by PHILIP TEE Should we all join the Minister for Justice, Hon Ano Pala to welcome the establishment of an office in Port Moresby by the global legal firm, Norton Ross Fulbright?. The Minister in charge of Justice matters in the country did so. The firm which was founded in 1794 has about 58 branches around the world and PNG will now be added to the franchise. The firm’s turnover for 2014 alone was around US$ 1.815 billion. It is believed the firm’s Sydney Office had been very instrumental in opening the Port Moresby Office. Whilst the firm’s long standing reputation as a global franchise in the legal industry is unmatchable, the firms Sydney Office has a special connection with PNG, especially the Peter O’Neill Government. There is a Sydney Partner of the firm called Anthony Latimer who has a very special relationship with two known fraudsters, namely Jimmy Maladina and Peter O’Neill. He had been facilitating a number of “legal work” for Jimmy and O’Neill for a number of ye

O'NEILL TOOK 4 1/2 YEARS TO PARALYSE ANY DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTION OF GOVERNMENT

Image
PETER O'NEILL HAS DEDICATED THE LAST 4 1/2 YEARS TO PARALYSING ANY DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTION OF GOVERNMENT DESIGNED TO KEEP CHECKS ON ANY LEADER AMASSING TOO MUCH POWER, THEN ABUSING IT:  by JERVIS TEMA He has successfully paralysed the ability of the police, fraud squad, ombudsman commission, auditor general, etc to investigate white collar crime or leader abuse of power by strangling them financially and if necessary, shutting them down physically. He has successfully strangled the court system using his old strategy which has worked so well for his NPF fraud troubles and others in the past. Mounting endless court challenges passes time to the point the public forgets all about the case. That's when Peter O'Neill (and Jimmy Maladina) can make a deal, through bribery or intimidation (whatever it takes) to end the court case in his favour. He has successfully castrated Parliament until it has become an easy to manipulate puppet, usually successfully warding off Vote of

2017 BUDGET BLUES - K40 MILLION SLUSH FUND ALLOCATED FOR PM's PERSONAL USE

Image
by PNGBLOGS Prime Minister Peter O’Neill’s greed and corruption is on show again in the 2017 Budget, with K40 million allocated for his personal use. The slush fund is a new allocation, under the Treasury and Finance Miscellaneous category, entitled Prime Minister’s Commitments. Also in this category is K3 million for “PM’s Official Staff Determination Payouts”. Treasury and Finance Miscellaneous can be viewed on Page 187 of Volume 2a, 2017 Budget Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for National Government Departments http://www.treasury.gov.pg/html/national_budget/files/2017/Vol2a-Revenue%20and%20Expenditure%20National%20Govt%20Depts.pdf No details of the new slush fund have been given. No reference was made to it in the Treasurer’s speech. No details are available of who or what the K40 million is to be spent on. There is no evidence of any acquittal requirements. This is a slush fund pure and simple and the Prime Minister and his Treasurer are trying to keep it secret

WILL AUSTRALIA ACT TO CURB PNG MONEY LAUNDERING?

Image
by JACOB PARAKISAN Australian Government inaction on money-laundering by corrupt Papua New Guinea politicians, their business cronies and government officials has once again been exposed by the spotlight of publicity. Evidence given in a Singapore corruption hearing shows that former Prime Minister Michael Somare and his son Arthur used bribe money to pay off residential properties bought in Cairns a few years earlier. The deal, in which Somare was secretly paid $US784,000 (K2.3 million), involved the laundering by Somare and his accomplices of $US3.6 million (K10 million) intended for setting up community colleges in PNG. The court established that the $US784,000 was deposited in Somare’s Standard Chartered bank account in three payments, labelled “housing”. One of those convicted in the Singapore money-laundering case told the court that "if you don’t pay to the PM PNG you will not be able to get business from PNG.”  Singaporean Lim Ai Wah, who was sentenced to fi

Role Of PNG Social Media Gossip and Rumour Mills In Revealing Hidden Truths. Alleged Involvement of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill In the Murder of Former Defence Minister Peter Waieng

Image
by SOLOMON KEPAS The mystery of who murdered former MP Peter Waieng illustrates how badly the formal justice system of both courts and police has failed the people of Papua New Guinea.   An informal replacing system of seeing justice done has started to appear as a result, just like it has in so many places overseas.   Indications are that Peter Waieng’s murder investigation was quietly abandoned in the hopes that the people of PNG would forget.  This strategy probably would have succeeded if not for the rise of the PNG social media and internet access by hundreds of thousands of Papua New Guineans.  Just as social media outside of PNG has created Courts of Public Opinion that ultimately have convicted and punished well known personalities from their countries, PNG’s social media is producing sites and activities for citizen involvement.  The Peter O’Neill government complains about defamatory, slanderous speech and unfounded rumours.  Looking at the overall picture, it only has

PASSINGAN As things get heated up in Waigani for the looming Vote of No Confidence, one of Prime Minister O’Neill’s close confidante and Minister for Works, Hon Francis Awesa is having a bitter split with his Prime Minister and close associate Jimmy Maladina,  The tales of fraud involving O’Neill and Jimmy as main characters never ceases to end. In this new drama, Works Minister Francis Awesa is taking the duo to court for illegally and fraudulently transferring his interests in one of the biggest construction companies in PNG –Global Construction Ltd.
