He was looking scruffy, escorted by a lady and not even a single group of supporters. He walked into the District Office and than disappeared after he received a mysterious phone call from somewhere. Then out of the blue he mobilizes a 15 vehicles and hires a crowd to travel with him the next day to Walum District Office to nominate on Thursday 27th April 2017. We wonder who made that last ditch call to him to mobilize and hire a crowd to follow him? That is the big question mark and mysterious move UNDIRI must ask. by KUMIN RANKS Rita Awesa is wife number 5 or 6 according to people who know this lady from Ialibu, she another one of Works and Transport Minister and Member for Imbongu Franics Awesa's many wifes and concubines, Rita acts as a conduit for her people in Ialibu who are supporters of Francis Awesa. RITA AWESA post on her  Facebook with the following: "Nothing is impossible when you work hard to earn it. Welcome on board this white queen named HAT 666. Testing out the Markham highway during its virgin trip before leaving Wopa Country for home sweet home...." Francis Awesa and Rita Maripa Awesa stole Imbonggu people's money a

WORKS MINISTER'S BACKYARD EARLY VOTE BUYING SCHEME EXPOSED

Image
by NOLPI BUKA The Member for Imbongu and Minister for Works Francis Awesa has consolidated his village support by engaging in early vote buying to ensure base votes from his village of Kiburu and surrounding areas are locked in come election day next year. The Imbongu District Administration under the guise of road improvements have approved questionable road improvement projects based around the Works Minister’s home village. Most of this road projects are non-existent or work not done payment for the MPs village of Kiburu and two neighbouring hamlets were done to ensure his tribesmen would have no choice but to cast their votes at Kiburu. This was done to ensure the two Ballot Boxes earmarked for Kiburu were fully exhausted by his support base. The MP is not new to controversy as it has been public knowledge that he is a known “kickback king” since being appointed Minister for Works under Peter O’Neill’s government. His traits for “Pay-for-Play” are commonly known within the wa

SHP STUDENTS CALL FOR AWESA TO STEP DOWN

Image
by NAIK MALCOLM I as an Imbongu Citizen Would like to call for Mr Francis Awesa to Step Down.  This is to the Works and Implementation Minister Mr Awesa, How much lives have you saved from the tribal fights in Southern Highlands Province. How much securities have you provide for those who suffered in the name of tribal fight.   Mr Awesa has saved no live in the most tribal fights in Southern Highlands Province. Yet, Mr Awesa is asking the VC to save the lives of the students during the time of trouble while the poor VC and the Unitech administration trying their very best to protect the students.   And Mr Awesa should be blamed for the death of the student because Mr Awesa as an Imbongu MP, he did not take responsibility to warn his student to return to class when the tension is very high.  Mr Awesa even failed to send police to protect the Imbongu students when he knew that his students are at risk in the campus. Yes, Mr Awesa and all the Member of the parliament and the

In this new drama, Works Minister Francis Awesa is taking the duo to court for illegally and fraudulently transferring his interests in one of the biggest construction companies in PNG –Global Construction Ltd. Global Construction was started in 1994 and the registered shareholder then was Kandy No. 7 Limited owned by Derek Michael Jepson, who is casually referred to as Mick Jepson.  On 1st August 1996, Mr Awesa, through his family company called Allestree No. 10 Ltd purchased about 24,999 shares from Kandy No. 7 to be a part own

3 BILLION KINA LOST OR STOLEN UNDER O'NIELL, HIS POLITICIANS AND CRONIES

Image
by MICHAEL PASSINGAN   More than K3 billion a year is likely being stolen and wasted by Prime Minister Peter O’Neill, his politicians, and their public service and private sector cronies. Over the five-year life of the O’Neill regime, they have likely stolen or wasted more than K15 billion. These estimates are based on figures made public by the Prime Minister himself, Works Minister Francis Awesa and the head of Task Force Sweep, Sam Koim. They demonstrate the enormous cost to the nation and the people of Papua New Guinea of O’Neill’s corruption and incompetence. They show that the rate of theft and other forms of corruption and waste under Peter O’Neill continues to increase. If O’Neill and his cronies had not stolen or misused K15 billion, Papua New Guinea would not be suffering from the current economic crisis. If the O’Neill regime had acted honestly, responsibly and competently, the decline in national development and service delivery could have been reversed. Instead, there h

AGIRU SELLING SHP TO GROW URP

Image
BY JAMES MONDOLAME It has been reported in today’s National newspaper that a number of Opposition MPs including firebrand opposition spokesman on Finance and Treasury Imbongu MP, Mr Francis Awesa, his son in law and Mendi MP, Mr. Isaac Joseph along with John Garia (Chimbu), Ferau Orimyo (Henganofi) and Steven Kama (South Bougainville) deserted to Mr. Agiru’s URP (United Resources Party). While media reports are sketchy about the confrontation with the current party leader and Hagen MP Mr. William Duma, a lot of questions are now being thrown to the Prime Minister if he is aware of this new move. Is this a ploy to shake the current partnership and test the possibility of wrestling the Deputy Prime Minister post away from NA? Is this a scheme setup by the opposition as a Trojan horse to snatch the numbers in government and breaking the bond with the current coalition? Many questions need asking, but at the same time, the quality of opposition is legendary with the brain trust at helm ri
