O'Neill's greed is killing Papua New Guineans,

Image
by MARK PEWA   The death of one of our mine workers in the Ok Tedi pit yesterday must be blamed on Peter O’Neill’s greed for cash to save his bankrupt Government. His teaboy Peter Graham pushed back into production quick-time without thinking of the danger to workers. The deaths were in the pit area where the massive landslide was late last year which shut the mine down. This is the A Grade ore they wanted to get out at any cost. That area is very well known to be unstable and highly dangerous. So why no comprehensive geotechnical studies before mining restart? Why no special precautions to protect workers? Why dangers of three days of heavy rain ignored. Graham and his team sent workers down there to death to start making money for his masta as quick as he can. All predications of disaster are come true as a State-owned mine like Tolukuma. Now INDEPENDENT INQUIRY MUST BE HELD TO HONOR MEMORY OF WORKER. MINES DEPARTMENT MUST HOLD INQUIRY. M

The King and Prince of Lies Continue to mislead Papua New Guineans on the state of Economy.

Image
by MICHAEL JOSEPH PASSINGAN Peter O’Neill remains the King of Lies. The Prince of Lies is his teaboy Isaac Lupari. Data released this month by the Bank of Papua New Guinea shows their statements about the price PNG receives for its LNG are completely untrue. Compare these statements with the truth as revealed by the central bank in the accompanying graph: "The drop in the oil price will not affect LNG revenues as we have forward contracts in place that are set at fixed pricing formula" - Peter O’Neill, January, 2015.” “[Polye claims] that Papua New Guinea will receive substantially less income from LNG sales and this is simply not true. PNG LNG exports and prices are predominantly locked into long-term forward sales contracts. In simple terms this means that PNG will receive the same price for LNG.” Isaac Lupari, December 2014. O’Neill and Lupari have told so many lies they no longer know what truth is. Their constant lying brings the Office of the Prime Mini

IS AUSTRALIA BENDING BACKWARDS TO ACCOMMODATE PNG’S MOST CORRUPT GOVERNMENT?

Image
PM TURNBULL by PETER WARINE Australia’s nearest neighour and only colony, Papua New Guinea, is on the brink of economic collapse due to grand corruption and mismanagement of the O’Neill Government. The Public coffers have run dry early last year (2015) and PNG has there seems not much left to keep its head above the water.  PNGs economic outlook is bleak. International Rating Agencies have all downgraded PNG to negative gradings. The O’Neill Government conducted roadshows around the world to secure some more loans to ease the cash flow and foreign reserve shortages but to no avail. Even treasury bonds were used to attract investors but were seen as mere toilet papers.  The economic crises has escalated and literally, there is no money to pay the public servants salary –something that O’Neill wants covered all the time as a measure of control public dissent. Whilst trouble is brewing on the island of paradise, life is as usual downunder. Australia has never raised any form o

PETER O'NEILL'S REAL DEBT

Image
by MICHAEL JOSEPH PASSINGAN No believes what comes out of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill’s mouth any more. New research has discovered that everything he said on the National Public Debt crisis of Papua New Guinea are all lies. It can be easily demonstrated that the national debt is much higher than the false numbers given by PM O’Neill. That brings bad news for the struggling people of Papua New Guinea, like Public Servants who are not being paid because the nation is bankrupt. Spending on essential services such as health, education, law and order, and transport will have to be cut even more. Mr O’Neill and his conmen are still getting fat on all the money they have stolen and sent to Australia, but the quality of life for the all other citizens is falling faster and faster. HERE IS WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING For 2015 the annual repayment of official debt of K17.8 billion was K1.5 billion, it says in the O’Neill regime’s own Budget papers. Grade 10 arithmetic tel

O'NEILL'S COMFORT OF LIES

Image
by STEVEN ANDRE Many have described our Prime Minister, right honourable Peter O’Neill as “O’Liar”, “Pathological liar”, “serial Liar”, etc and I refused to be one. But it has come to a time when I have to sit down and analyze whether those words hold true. The following is what I managed to dig up from the internet. On 9 th August 2013 at 5:36pm , Peter O’Neill has the following conversation with Jonny Blades of Radio New Zealand: “JOHNNY BLADES: Some of the people in your own cabinet might be looked at. You're happy with that? Anyone can be investigated? PETER O'NEILL: I've told cabinet from day one and members of parliament from day one, no-one is above the law, including the prime minister. No-one is above the law. Where they're answerable for their actions they must be held accountable. And they all know the rules that are there. We all know the laws that are there, and I think it's important that the right message is given to our leaders and our

PARAKA IS PROTECTED SPECIES ASK LUPARI WHO GOT K3.7 MILLION THOUGH PARAKA LAWYERS.

by JACOB YAMBU AS LONG AS ISAAC LUPARI IS CHIEF SECRETARY, PAUL PARAKA WILL BE PAID, THEY GO WAY BACK, JAMES MARAPE CAN BE A LOUD MOUTH AS LONG AS HE WANTS, BUT BY GETTING ISAAC LUPARI IN AS CHIEF SECRETARY PARAKA HAS ALREADY ACHIEVED WHAT HE SET TO ATTAIN, MARAPE IS JUST A POLITICAL FIGURE HEAD, HE CANT BE EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME, BY HOOK OR CROOK, WHEN YOU HAVE A CROOK SITTING IN AS CHIEF SECRETARY HE WILL HAVE HIS WAY. Prime Minister Peter O’Neill likes to talk tough about cracking down on corruption but his own Chief Secretary was recommended for prosecution in the Finance Department Commission of Inquiry report for fraudulently claiming K3.7 million as part of the Paraka Scams which have cost PNG hundreds of million… Former Ambassador to the European Union, Departmental Head and now Chief Secretary, Isaac Lupari stole K3.7 million from the people of PNG through false claims for breach of contract according to the findings of the Commission of Inquiry into the Fina

O'NEILL GOVT BORROWS OVER HALF A BILLION TO STAY AFLOAT

Image
by BRYAN KRAMER O'Neill Government borrowed a further K654 million in the last two weeks to stay afloat. The funds were raised through auctioning of Government Treasury Bills by the Central Bank. K198 million was raised on 17 February 2016 to meet the public servants pay run for payroll 5 and K455 million was raised just last Wednesday's (26/2/16) to ensur e this payroll is met. Central Bank website defines Treasury Bills as a financial debt instrument issued by the Central Bank on behalf of the Government to raise funds in order to finance budget deficits. A budget deficit is when Government expenditure is higher than revenue (spending more than it earns). In a period of just four months November 2015 to February 2016 O'Neill Government has borrowed K4.1 Billion domestically through the auction of Government Treasury bills. The debt largely held by domestic banks and superannuation funds. This calculates to an average of K1 Billion a month. Record d

O'NEILL AND TOMSCOLL FORCING UP FOOD PRICES

Image
by JAMES PARAKISAN Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and Agriculture Minister Tommy Tomscoll are forcing up the price of food so that more and more people cannot afford basic items such as flour and rice and other imported items. Even prices of local foods are increasingly expensive. The proof - Bank of Papua New Guinea says food prices rose almost 25% in the 12 months to December 31 last year. This is more pain and suffering for the people because of the longlong policies, waste corruption and mismanagement of O’Neill and his Government colleagues like Tomscoll. Tomscoll as Minister for Agriculture is mainly to blame because of his ban on vegetable imports in the middle of last year. But blame also is with O’Neill, whose reckless, wasteful and corrupt borrowings have caused the kina’s value to crash, making all imported food more expensive. In its Monthly Economic Bulletin for January 2016, the central bank reports that fruit and vegetable prices rose by 24

"BRING YOUR FILES TO COURT" - MARAPE

Image
by JAMES MARAPE MP Good evening all who are friends with me on FB. My last FB post was in my disgust in the manner in which Paul Paraka Lawyers (PP lawyers) without conscience to the harm they do to name and reputation of others continue to bring in questionable claims for settlement by State. Today ( 1st of March 2016) PP lawyers asks me to apologize and withdraw the statement I wrote on the basis that they had secretly without many of us knowing, had a Supreme Court order of 11 July 2014, in the decision of their 2006/2007 matter against state ( SCR 15 of 2006 and SCR 3 of 2007). His letter reminded me and I quote him " Order # 3 all persons or parties connected directly or indirect in respect of all matters emanating or arising from the investigation and disputes over the PP legal bills, including those involved in the relevant court proceedings, police investigations and members of the public at large are restrained and prohibited from making or publishing any m

VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE AGAINST PETER O'NEILL OR SINK WITH PNC IN 2017

Image
WILL PNC MPs MOVE A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE AGAINST PETER O'NEILL TO SAVE THEMSELVES BEFORE 2017? by VINCENT MOSES The above question has been asked a number of times over the life of this Parliament but so far, it seems no MP within PNC has been brave enough or popular enough to wrestle the leadership of the party away from Peter O'Neill. With so many controversies surrounding the leadership of Peter O'Neill, many of which are now threatening the very survival of this nation, questions are being asked if his own MPs will finally decide that enough is enough. PNC Party is becoming increasingly unpopular as controversy after controversy continues to follow this Prime Minister and this government. Judging from comments on Social Media, particularly Facebook, the overwhelming indication is that PNC will face a huge challenge and a huge defeat in the 2017 elections. History has shown that the people of Papua New Guinea have spoken during elections wh

ANALYSIS ON SUPREME COURTS RECENT RULINGS IN RELATION TO PM'S CASES.

Image
by BRYAN KRAMER This week there has been a number of rulings in the Supreme Court relating to the warrant of arrest against the.Prime Minister Peter O'Neill. I understand many will be confused about the reasons behind the rulings and its effect on whether or not it will ultimately lead to his arrest. I've decided to post this article to simplify the issues for ordinary Papua New Guineans in an effort to better assist them understand the reasoning behind these decisions and their effect. There are three main cases currently before the Court that relate to the warrant of arrest against the Prime Minister, two are Supreme Court proceedings SC87/2014 and SC7/2016 and the third the National Court proceedings OS485/2014. The other cases involving Sam Koim and the Prime Minister's (PM's) referral to face the Leadership Tribunal are less significant at this point so I've decided to leave them out of this discussion. UBS Investigated for Tax Fraud and Money Laundering- PNG DEAL IN HOTWATER

Image
by MICHAEL J PASSINGAN The Swiss Bank behind Prime Minister Peter ONeill’s’s illegal and corrupt loan to buy 10% of Oil Search is facing new allegations of money-laundering and financial fraud.   UBS is being investigated over money laundering and serious organised tax fraud in Belgium. A statement from prosecutors said: "The Swiss bank is suspected of having directly, and not via its Belgian subsidiary, approached Belgian clients to convince them to set up constructions aimed at evading taxes."   UBS said it would "defend itself against any unfounded allegations". The prosecutors' statement said the judicial investigation came after "excellent" help from French authorities, who had been looking at allegations that UBS had been encouraging clients to open accounts in Switzerland to avoid tax between the years 2004-12.   The US has also been looking into whether the bank allowed its US customers to hide their wealth from the Internal Revenue Servi
