MARCH TOWARDS DICTATORSHIP: THE CASE OF THE DISAPPEARING GOVERNOR GENERAL AND OTHER TALES

Image
by JASON WAUGLE This is a story of the latest attempt by Peter O’Neill to dismantle PNG’s democracy and establish himself as a ‘Guided Democracy’ style ‘benevolent dictator’ and ‘ruler for life’ in the style of Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe.   We describe here his successful neutralization of Parliament and of MPs as an effective body to exercise check and balance oversight over the Office of the Prime Minister.   The ongoing obstructions of Parliamentary proceedings has turned out to be a classic example illustrating a repeated pattern of  Peter O’Neill amassing personal wealth and power that is now frightening people throughout Papua New Guinea.   THE PM’s ONE FATAL FLAW:   CREATING TOO MUCH CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE THAT CAN BE USED TO ESTABLISH PATTERNS OF BEHAVIOUR The following information would have never been discovered if Peter O’Neill had not made himself an easy target for a particular logic used to solve problems.  It is popularly called ‘connecting the dots,’ which mean

THE ILLEGAL UBS LOAN MATURES ON 13 JUNE 2016

THE LNG LANDOWNERS OPPORTUNITY TO BUY 4.22 % EQUITY FROM THE STATE ENDS ON 30 JUNE 2016; WILL PETER O’NEILL FIND THE MONEY TO MEET THE OBLIGATIONS? by ANDRE BILAK STEVEN PNG is already having a serious cash flow problem, and nothing can be more evidenced than the Minister for Finance James Marape’s statement few weeks ago that all MPs (who supposed to receive K15m DSIP funds) will receive K1 million each for this year. The cash flow crisis is affecting business houses, government departments and households like never before. The Bank of Papua New Guinea has about less than US$1.4 billion in reserves against pending foreign exchange orders of around K4 billion plus and the situation is not improving any sooner. The endless cue for sending funds overseas is unbearable and killing many import reliant businesses in this import-reliant economy. Many learned experts in economic management have advised O’Neill, since early signs of doom emerged, to take remedial actions immedia

BRIAN KELLY, CAN’T WHITE WASH WITH YOUR PURPORTED EXPLANATION.

Image
by LEKEM LAKI Australian Brian Kelly who took an article on Post Courier dated 10th June 2016, on page 8, titled, “CEO on Black Swan ownership”. Who is Brian Kelly trying to brain wash? Papua New Guineans aren’t all naïve and ignorant people to believe Brian Kelly’s bullshits. He purportedly came out publicly in the height of commotion on Wednesday (9th June 2016) to divert the public perception on the ownership of Black Swan International. There is no secret about who owns Black Cat, Phoenix, L&A, Global Construction, Remington and Black Swan international. Also, it is no secret about who is associated to pathological liar and master thief Peter O’Neil whether it be national or opportunist expatriates. Brian Kelly is closely associated to Peter O’Neil managing his Remington Company and we have vivid memory of Brian Kelly’s business connection and political affiliation to PO and PNC. It’s a public knowledge, Brian Kelly can’t erase it even with indelible ink

O'NEILL AND BAKI LOSING CONTROL OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA

Image
by GREG MARA SECURITY ALERT!! //////////////////////////////// //////////////////////////////// BAKI MOBILIZES AND DISPATCHES PORT MORESBY POLICE TO THE HIGLANDS TODAY. AFTER A HIGH LEVEL SECURITY MEETING YESTETDAY, GARY BAKI IS DISPATCHING PORT MORESBY POLICE TO THE HIGHLANDS TO QUELL THE ROADBLOCKS, ETC. Gary Baki is definitely embarking upon a suicide mission because the entire people of PNG are waiting for the police to show their faces to vent their frustrations over O'Neil and over the shooting of the unarmed students at UPNG. Unlike the Bougainville Crisis, the police is facing hundreds of thousands of civilians' guns compared to the police's 5,000 guns. Baki can control and contain volatile situations in Port Moresby with no problems. But out in the open, Baki's men will be sitting ducks! But the irony of it all is, most policemen and women hate O'Neil but duty calls so they will offer their own lives to cover up O'Neil's

UNITECH STUDENTS, SALVAGE SOMETHING FROM THE BOYCOTT DISASTER KNOWN AS DAVID KELMA

Image
NIUGINI OUTLOOK Again we must rely on sources based at Unitech to know what is going on. All the "helpful" David Kelma supporters who were rubbishing us only a week ago have oddly were always saying that our information was wrong, but never giving the evidence to support their claims. Our evidence are witnesses, multiple witnesses, who contact us independently but have been coming up with very similar stories. We cross check a bit and that is how we establish the credibility of what we are told. Unitech students have now wasted another week of time they could either have been doing effective actions that supported UPNG and the national movement to force the PM to step aside, or they could have been doing their coursework. They did none of the above. They either sat around doing nothing or they engaged in actions that only made them look like baby sense had taken control. Such a giant contrast between the sluggish movement of Unitech versus the other universities. Is th

POLICE OPEN FIRE ON PROTESTING STUDENTS, IN PARLIAMENT MINISTER QUESTIONS WHO ARE THE PROTESTORS (STUDENTS)

Image
PM'S POLICE OPEN FIRE ON UNARMED STUDENTS  Members of Special Services Division (SSD) armed with military style weapons opened fire on unarmed University of PNG (UPNG) students. The incident occurred at the roundabout outside the UPNG gate. The students were leading a peaceful protest to Parliament to witness the tabling of motion of Vote of No Confidence against Prime Minister Peter O'Neill. Police set up a road blocks at the roundabout stopping the students fr om proceeding to Parliament. After heated discussion Members of the Special Services Division opened fire on students shooting in indiscriminately. The UPNG President was shot in the chest with a tear gas cannister two other students were shot one in the leg and another in the chest. Students ran for their lives running back to UPNG campus while they were chased by Members of Police Force. Right now they are hiding in their rooms as Police move in and out of Campus. Concerned about the lives a

Peter O’Neill’s arguments do not stand scrutiny

Image
by DILU GOMA Peter O’Neill’s argument against stepping down or resigning as Prime Minister in order to allow law enforcement authorities to do their job of investigating allegations of crimes or misconduct in office is that there is no ‘evidence’ of any wrongdoing on his part. Based on this, he has fought tooth and nail, both in court and out of court, to stay on in the office of Prime Minister of PNG. The out of court tactics he has used (killing the Task Force Sweep, changing justice minister, removing police commissioner, trying to remove the chief magistrate, etc) are clear signs of a power-hungry individual. The in-court battles he has fought will not come out in his favor in the end, because lawful processes of the Police, Prosecution, Leadership Tribunal, etc are all guaranteed under the Constitution, and the Supreme Court is likely to uphold this clear principle of good governance. Two fallacies of O’Neill’s argument concerning ‘lack of evidence’ are as follows. One,

“PNC betrayed our confidence” – National Alliance Party Officials

Image
by   National Alliance Party Insider As the University student-led protest has gained traction, and increasingly the electorate is informed of the excesses of the current government, some of the coalition partners of the People’s National Congress-led government are now trying to save face before voters leading into the National General Elections next year (2017). And within the inner sanctum of the National Alliance (NA) Party, the post-2017 outlook is taking shape. As the only party in the political history of Papua New Guinea that consecutively held executive government back-to-back government since 2002 (until 2011), the NA officials and NA parliamentary leader Hon. Patrick Pruaitch are now stuck with a Peter O’Neill-led government that has done more harm to destroy the legacy of the NA. According to highly-placed NA party officials, the PNC, of which Peter O’Neill is the Parliamentary leader, will not find NA as a willing partner should any coalition government be negot

MPS STILL DUMB ON LOAN

Image
BPNG INSIDER In PNG we have a serious foreign exchange deficit which is hampering the economy.  The economy is being mismanaged. The K3B UBS loan is due for repayment on 13th of June,   Some of the specifics:  The interest rate on the loan was 12.3%, which comes to approximately K30M per month for 27 months (two years plus three months grace period).  The sources of the information used in this analysis the Post Courier and PNG blogs. The Prime Minister made the loan arrangement with UBS without consulting with the NEC and/or Parliament.  He made the decision after consulting only with James Marape and Patrick Pruaitch. He used the K3B UBS funds to purchase 150 million shares in Oil Search on the Australian Stock exchange, paying $A8.20 per share on March 14, 2014.  The total comes to $A1.23B or about K2.46B, based on the exchange rate in March 2014.  The K2.46B invested in Oil Search purchase leaves K540M unaccounted for (K3B – K2.46B).  I do not know what happened to the K540M. The

WHY WE LOVE PNG... WE STEAL MORE FOR LESS, L&A WENT ON A SHOPPING SPREE AFTER 2012 ELECTIONS

PNGBLOGS L&A Constructions are Luciano Cragnolini, Yumei Ni Cragnolini & their strange sleeping partner & bedfellow in our one and only Peter O’Neill. The ridiculous Parliament tiles over pebbles job is nothing compared to what other stunts they have pulled and are pulling all over the place in PNG. Luciano & Yumei Ni Cragnolini were in the right place at the right time to do Peter O’Neill special favors when he was just a senior Minister in Somare’s Cabinet. Yumei Ni Cragnolini in particular saw in Peter O’Neill what her husband couldn't see. And so she is one woman who needs to be credited with having the eye to the future in that family. These days, when her children question what she seeing in O’Neill, even O’Neill as Prime Minister is out to protect Yumei Ni’s vision of what was, what is, and what could be.There is a strange case of one of Yumei Ni’s step sons questioning Peter O'Neill deep commitment to the family a few years ago at Airways, you shou

LATEST REPORTS OF BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION: POWI & O'NEILL BUY UNITECH SRC LOYALTY?

Image
STUDENT ACTIVIST ON NIUGINI OUTLOOK This is beginning to look like a classic Peter O’Neill story. Peter O’Neill has spent his career always denying allegations against him. What he never understands is that as one story follows another and one more piece of circumstantial evidence adds to those already known, it starts to fill in gaps and define a bigger picture of what is going on, with all fingers pointed to the same culprit. The same thing is happening now with respect to Unitech SRC President David Kelma. THE WHISTLEBLOWERS AND THEIR CREDIBILITY: The following information comes from whistleblower Unitech students who have been investigating on their own a number of suspicious David Kelma activities especially related to money handling. Why are these nameless people exposing this information now, since making these allegations definitely involves risks? There are several possibilities. - They could be genuine Christian, true PNG nationalists who are appalled by evil when

UPNG students got it right – and the UPNG VC Professor Albert Mellam fumbled!

Image
by BONNY KAIYO The university students were non – violent, and prayed to bring about peace in the country in their war on corruption. And, it even took the CEO of the country’s premier institution of learning by surprise. University students at UPNG and other State – run universities and colleges were at war with the ruling political elite. It was also a time to see who turned out to the be allies, and who were the enemies in the war on corruption in the country. Sir Nagora Bogan, the Chancellor of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology, a State run institute situated in Lae, Morobe Province whose students voted in a referendum to support their sister universities and had boycotted classes for over a month now will not be removed from his post. Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology Malakai Tabar confirmed in Parliament yesterday that, “Sir Nagora Bogan is still the chancellor and (rumours) posted on Facebook by faceless peopl

REMEMBER JUNE 13TH, THE DEFAULT DAY FOR UBS LOAN.

Image
Dear Honourable Members of Parliament.  Papua New Guinea is not broke but only one person is holding this country to ransom, and the consequences will adversely affect your political careers. if you allow Peter O'Neil to be in power after 13th June, 2016, the default date of the UBS loan, UBS will likely declare PNG insolvent. Meaning PNG government can print K3 billion but we do not have the foreign currency to convert this printed money. World Bank is already in the country, they are funding roads and infrastructures now, after we've been declared insolvent under Peter O'Neil. World Bank IMF will give us money for Budget Support with the following austerity measures: 1. No DSIP/PSIP 2. NO Free Education and Health Care 3. Budget cut by 60% 4. Customary Land Mobilisation Program The stoppage in DSIP/PSIP funds will affect most the programs you honourable MPs have created and you will end up loosing your seats. Many other consequences you might face. Tuesday is
