THE COMING OF THE SAVIOR OR A PRELUDE TO HELL?

Image
by PAUL AMATIO Many will criticize and crucify me for this piece. However, I am convinced it must be written because the truth is the truth and we must all know the truth in order to make up our minds as to what we do next. It is not that long and it is intended to get you thinking about and making your own decisions on potential outcomes based on actual events that have already transpired and are documented facts. Many of us hailed Bryan Kramer as the long-awaited savior of PNG. And YES! I was one of those gullible fools! We BELIEVED Kramer would restore accountability, transparency and good governance and those who have been manipulating and subverting the system through acts of corruption and theft would be removed. Well, we believed wrong. So I implore all rational and thinking Papua New Guineans to read this through first and decide afterwards. As they say, the devil can come in many forms…even that of the Savior. In the months since the transitioning of power with the elev

TAX DODGER TKATCHENKO WAS GOVERNMENT MINISTER WHILE HOLDING ONTO AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP

Astonishing tax evasion and fraud allegations are being raised against APEC Minister Justin Tkatchenko that he has been cheating the PNG public over the last 15 years. Publicly accessible Tax Office documents reveal Tkatchenko has failed to pay both company and personal tax in fifteen years. Worse, he appears to have taken K670,000 of another company’s tax credits for his personal gain. Police investigations are now underway, with suggestions that this could be part of a much larger web of organised tax credit theft. Tkatchenko is no stranger to fraud allegations. In 1999, an independent investigation into NCDC led to criminal charges being laid on Tkatchenko, but the case was dismissed before going to trial, a move that was heavily criticised by the National Court. Allegations only grew more serious over time, all with a common outcome for the people of PNG – absolutely nothing. Most recently in 2015, his company ‘PNG Gardener’ was questionably awarded K27 million in contracts

Something fishy about MRDC-Dirio deal with foreign companies

Image
The Member for Moresby North-West, Sir Mekere Morauta, said today that arrangements between two foreign consultancies and Mineral Resources Development Corporation to build power plants might be undermining the national interest and treating PNG landowners as fronts to ship out millions of kina.  “Under the arrangements that I have been made aware of, the interests of foreign companies seem to have been given preference over a cheap and reliable national power supply and financial returns to the PNG LNG landowner groups who have invested in MRDC’s power-generation plans,” he said. “It is likely that the two foreign-owned companies involved, Pacific Energy Consulting Ltd and Twenty20 Ltd, will get the lion’s share of the benefits. The national interest and PNG LNG landowner investors seem to be coming a distant last. “I support legitimate private investment in the power market, and landowner involvement in legitimate enterprises. But I want to make sure that the national interest come

GG Regrets Awarding Sir Title To Pundari.

Image
After a bumpy ride to Kompiam Station in Enga Province, an irritated Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae regretted giving the Sir title this year to the LMP John Thomas Pundari. From some reliable sources, the Queens Rep said he truely regrets awarding a title to a politician who didn't deserve the title. The LMP was recently recognized by the GG's office for his services to the district for 25 years but actually, when visited by the GG Sir Dadae nothing tangible was on the ground. What a disgrace and shame of the incumbent who in fact is a Sir worth nothing. It is also a wake-up call for the officers from the GG's office to properly investigate on politician's before awarding of titles. Picture: Dr David Mills (of Kompiam Baptist Hospital) and Finance Secretary Ken Nangan who is from the district giving the GG Sir Dadae a tour of the hospital. The picture also includes the deteriorating stages of infrastructure in the electorate.

by YAKAN LEPAKALI TAGE PIMANA YAKAIN INVESTMENTS LTD (1-63724) was registered and incorporated on the 30th May 2008. That is 8 months after John Pundari was elected the MP for Kompiam Ambum under questionable circumstances. The company used by John Pundari to legally funnel public money to build his kingdom. A brief background on the relationship between John Yongamen and John Pundari is that, during the 2007 national election campaign, the front man of the company Yongamen gave K20 000.00 in cash to John Pundari as a show of support and loyalty. This was done in public. As expected, Pundari had to pay back if he wins. Well, he won so the company was formed for possible business opportunities. The directors of Tage Pimana Yakain Investment are one Besakali DEGEN and John YONGAMAN. They are from the Lair tribe in the Yakan Tambukin tribe. Unfortunately, the shareholders are names from their tribe, although only 5 are real names: Besakali DEGEN; John YONGAMAN; Kaipu MAGAU; Philip Pi

PNG FOCUS INTO FUTURE.

Image
by DAVID DOM KUA I qoute from Late Bill william Skate "Autonomy is negotiable but Independence for Bougainville is over my dead body" He is dead and gone but his wisdom is for the unification of PNG stands tall. Papua New Guinea can move on to become federal states as a unified country as we move into the future. Such option is available and are far from over. Independence will only create disunity and segregation in a multination state such as our country that's what is meant for us to uphold national unity at all times. "One people, One Kantri and One nation." Is the preamble of our constitution! Let me recap the memories of PANGU PATI. It emerged in the bully beef club from like-minded leaders like Somare, Late John Guise, late Sir Albert KiKi, Sir Julius Chan, Fr John Momis and Late Bernard Narakobi and others who saw the common dream for PNG self Independence 45 years ago and consequently gave birth to our nations based on the fundamental principles of
