MAHESH PATEL, A “TECHNICAL BULLSHIT ARTIST”, INFLUENCING GOVERNMENT DECISIONS & MEDDLING IN AFFAIRS OF TELIKOM PNG.

by TELIKOM INSIDERS
The recent appointment of Mahesh Patel as Chairman of the Kumul Telikom Holdings Ltd, has given him the upper end to continue to meddle in the decision making affairs of the Executive Government in the running of Telikom PNG Ltd.

Patel and his other Fiji/Indian friends in the likes of Sundar Ramamurthy, CEO Bemobile now resigned and Bhanu Sud, terminated from EMTV as CEO and re-employed in Telikom by Mahesh Patel and Michael Donnelly, are collaborating amongst themselves to steal from PNG’s premier communication companies just before the country goes to the polls. This team is also preventing Telikom PNG from launching its new 4G LTE GSM Network for the people of Papua New Guinea for their own interests.

Mahesh Patel, Papua New Guineans in Telikom PNG, have one message for you and your cohorts from Fiji/India. “Stop immediately because patience has run out and your time is up!”
NEC Decision No: 360/2016 has revoked Michael Donnelly’s contract and subsequently appointed Moses Tendumo as the acting CEO. This did not go well with Mahesh Patel and he coerced NEC Decision No: 44/2017, in which he overlooked the appointment of Moses Tedumo and allowed for Michael Donnelly to serve his full contract till April 2017 and at the same time appointing him as the Team Leader of Transition Team of the merging of Telikom, Bemobile and DataCo. This is clear disrespect for a Government decision by a foreigner who is technically illiterate and has self interest in the assets of Telikom PNG and Bemobile in PNG.

Patel should close down his 5% shareholding in CPL Business in PNG and be deported immediately out from PNG to go play politics elsewhere in Australia or in Fiji. This is an expatriate, Indian/Fijian, playing pure politics in PNG and must not be allowed to venture further.

Another manifestation of Mahesh Patel willing and dealing in Telikom is the micro management of the business to protect his own greed and self-interest. Sale of Vital Telikom Properties around the country, grossly undervalued and with the intention that he may own these through some shady deals.
Never before, have we seen any Chairman or CEO of Telikom PNG Ltd, defying any NEC – Decisions. Mahesh Patel and Michael Donnelly, both expatriates seems to carry on in their defiance, without even being warned or cautioned by the executive government and through its established agencies such as Department of Labour and Employment and Migration Department for expatriates employed in PNG to uphold and abide within the existing laws of PNG.
Given the above scenario, Mahesh Patel did not act in good faith and not in the best interest of the State Owned Entity and the Government.

Telikom is operating without a CEO since December, 2016.

Staff and entire National Management Team in Telikom PNG Ltd do not want Donnelly back, because he and Mahesh Patel ran down the company since their appointments in 2012 and 2014. No profit declared since 2013 to 2016 under the leadership of both gentlemen and both have misinformed the national government by splitting Telikom PNG Ltd and selling all its core businesses to outside players in the telecommunication market, virtually rendering the company to just mere retail business, and losing out on its status as a major player in the telecommunication industry in PNG.

They blame TPNG staff for their mismanagement of Telikom money and assets, what a shame.
Furthermore, for the record, during the three years of Michael Donnelly term in office, he has done more harm than good. He did not put in place a five year Corporate Plan of Telikom PNG Ltd with no proper organizational structure to date. Not to mention, his miserable failure to mentor a successor despite the fact that the position has been localized some years back in mid 1990s.
WITH THE ABSENCE OF A PROPERLY APPOINTED ACTING CEO, MAHESH PATEL CONTINUES TO MICRO-MANAGE TELIKOM TO DATE. SOMEONE IN THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS.
For public viewing and comment, refer to the following documents as evident, proving that Mahesh Patel is Micro-Managing Telikom PNG Ltd.
