A HELA MAN'S VIEW OF THE ALL TALK NO ACTION PMJM

by GIBSON PALIBE

I wish O'Neill government was not hijacked by some tucker box managers. The amount of development delivered and the loan taken out by past and present governments are tell-tale.

Learned should emancipate from tribal and egoistic slavery and put on PNG compass. Noises and movements of heavy machines that were the hallmark of O'Neill era indicating people hard at work were quietened when Marape government set in. Right now, virtually nothing has been and is being done!

All we hear is blame game. Blaming the past government, blaming Covid 19. Blaming court cases and VONC moves by Opposition. On top of that is sweet talk by a story teller all day. Telling us this supposed corruption fighter government is improving the system.

Sounds interesting. So what has happened to the two years budget? Have we used up all in improving system? What kind of system improvement requires total commitment of two years budget?

Hell no. I refuse to accept lunacy. At least something tangible should be done with 2 years budget. Tari Pori is literally in tatters as we speak. Tari town is cowboy township. It's overrun by warlords drunk with innocent bloods. Mothers are selling their garden produce in the open mud right in the town.

Has Marape done anything about this? Will he do for PNG? He has done nothing in Tari Pori, he will surely do nothing for PNG. Marape era will be the sweet talk era, revolving in cycles. The recent sealing done from Tari to Ambua by his company Ipwenz has humbly given way to weather, creating mammoth craters in arrays, revealing white quarry all along when tar coloring gravel fade.

Shutting down operating mines, paralyzing the economy and suffocating the citizens is not only unnecessary but irresponsible. Now the economy is already heading downward spiral, showing signs of demise. Food prices are up, fuel price is up, tax is literally eating away employees, service fees for essential state services like MVIL and police clearance are up.

We need a PM who has audacity, foresight and guts to play and win big in the big field. Play and win big in the big arena - the international political arena. O'Neill did not shut down mining or halted projects and waited to harvest. He went out to the big field and grabbed his slice of the pie up for grab by those with fine eyes to read international political games and play along to win. He won many times, the spill over of games he won are massive infrastructural developments seen today and some still continuing.
