WHO IS PETER O'NEILL? FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE MAN

Image
byMICHAEL J. PASSINGAN
This article brings to light the dark side and unknown secrets of Peter O'Neill, the Member for Ialibu Pangia Electorate and the Prime Minister of PNG. These uncompromising and compelling truths revealed here might surprise you, but you will not regret that you have discovered the deep secrets of his background and character unknown to the majority of Papua New Guineans and the whole world.

During the political impasse since August 2 2011, I have supported the O'Neill/Namah regime against the Somare/Abel regime. The reason of my support was to change Somare’s unpopular regime that was deeply systematic and systemically corrupt. In the process, I admit that our constitution was tempered and violated. Even though our Supreme Court ruled in favour of Somare’s legitimacy, I went at great lengths to argue and support that O'Neill/Namah regime was legitimate. Consequently, the Somare/Abal regime was dethroned and destabilised. They usurped the power as an …

BY A WHISKER OF DIVINE INTERVENTION THE MASTER SABOTEUR OF THE CONSTITUTION JUST FELL SHORT

byJOHN ENDEMONGO KUA

The prime minister Peter O'neill and his legal advisors Powes Parkop and Ano Pala , who had so far successfully deluded , many constitutional issues since the unconstitutional formation and conduct of government since the 2nd of August , 2011, when executive government powers was usurped by a rogue and defacto government, undermining the Constitution and the decorum of the rule of law as supreme.

A Supreme Court Reference filed by the East Sepik Provincial Assembly was ruled on by the court as null and void , which yet again was ignored, with yet another unlawful conduct in passing defective legislation which barred the entry of the incumbent prime minister , Sir Michael Somare , refered to as a "stranger" in the house by the member for Bulolo, and ordered removed by the Speaker ( Nape ) in order to seize power.

A second election was conducted illegally to create confusion and by time , with lawyers , for the government and a cheap and contemptous ju…

NATIONAL ALLIANCE BLAMES PNC FOR COUNTRY'S ECONOMIC FAILURE

Image
by PATRICK PRUATCH

Greetings and welcome….Sir Michael, Party President and executives, NA candidates, members and supporters..

Introduction: After serving as the Ruling Party for two consecutive terms in 2002 and 2007, the National Alliance Party was ousted in a parliamentary coup in 2011. Subsequently, a Government led by the Peoples’ National Congress took office in 2012.

Looking back it is clear that management of the PNG economy was at its best during NA’s two terms in office from 2002 to 2011. I intend today to help all NA members and candidates to cast away any doubts that this may not be the case. This is an important part of our claim that NA deserves to form the next Government.

NA and its candidates need to campaign in a confident and purposeful manner to ensure the return of an NA-led Government. I am confident that as head of the next Government, and with the right team behind me, National Alliance will once again be able to restore sound economic policies and rising l…

PATRICK PRUAITCH THE SMUG AND POLITICAL WHORE

Image
by JOSEPH GAWI

PATRICK PRUAITCH STANDS OUT AMONGST THE WHOLE GANG OF WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS IN PARLIAMENT: He honestly believes that no matter how corrupt he is, he will never be prosecuted. This belief is made ever more strong by the fact that he has been caught or nearly caught many times. But nothing ever results in a conviction and Patrick Pruaitch remains free to smirk at the world knowing he has his protectors. Is it true that he actually believes it is God's will that he remain free to perpetuate his life of bribery and kickbacks? Or is it actually the devil at work here?

More than any other PNG politician today, Patrick Pruaitch is the symbol of a system of justice breaking down nearly in its entirety whenever it comes to prosecuting VIPs or virtually any white collar criminals. Yes, Paul Tientsen got prosecuted and sent to jail but that's because he wouldn't do things the way the loose knit mafia of politicians who run our country expected him to do. He wouldn'…

Open Letter to Sir Michael Somare

Open Letter to Sir Michael Somare
byJAMES PARAKISAN

Grand Chief, before you bow out of the picture, we need you.  We realize you are 80 years old and you will be retiring from PNG politics in June 2017.  At the same time your influence, stature and leadership is essential during this time of unparalleled corruption.
The current administration is knee-deep in pekpek of its own making.  They’ve done a masterful job of sidelining and silencing Sam Koim, leader of the Task Force Sweep.  Koim was hand-picked by the O’Neill government to spearhead the drive against the corruption pervasive in all levels of government.  Then, ironically, when Koim starts making some headway in addressing government fraud, O’Neill neutralizes him.
Sir Michael, please address two or three of the major corruption issues of the last several years.  Shout out from the rooftops about the abuse of power of the current administration.  It’s been reported once before, but the people of PNG need to hear it again.…

OPEN LETTER TO DON POLYE - "You are one of the few who understand that in excess of K100M – maybe as high as K500M – is missing and unaccounted for in the UBS loan alone"

Image
Congratulations, Mr Polye, on winning the re-count for Kandep district!  We realise sinister political forces were at work to bring about the re-count.  Thankfully you won.

PNG needs your leadership now like never before.  As you know we are currently saddled with a limping-along economy that is likely due to corrupt government.  The eyes of all Papua New Guineans are on you to take the lead in challenging the O’Neill administration.

One year ago in the October 8, 2015 edition of the Post Courier you were spot on in your claim that the PNG LNG funds were being parked in an account in Singapore, and not in the Bank of PNG as claimed by the O’Neill administration.  Thank you for bringing that to the light of day.

You can’t rest now.  You need to continue to hammer away and demand transparency of  government finances.  In particular you need to focus on the UBS loan, now rolled into a Credit Suisse loan.  Secondly you need to demand full disclosure of the PNG LNG income.

You are aware o…

WILL AUSTRALIA ACT TO CURB PNG MONEY LAUNDERING?

Image
by JACOB PARAKISAN

Australian Government inaction on money-laundering by corrupt Papua New Guinea politicians, their business cronies and government officials has once again been exposed by the spotlight of publicity.

Evidence given in a Singapore corruption hearing shows that former Prime Minister Michael Somare and his son Arthur used bribe money to pay off residential properties bought in Cairns a few years earlier.

The deal, in which Somare was secretly paid $US784,000 (K2.3 million), involved the laundering by Somare and his accomplices of $US3.6 million (K10 million) intended for setting up community colleges in PNG.

The court established that the $US784,000 was deposited in Somare’s Standard Chartered bank account in three payments, labelled “housing”.

One of those convicted in the Singapore money-laundering case told the court that "if you don’t pay to the PM PNG you will not be able to get business from PNG.”

Singaporean Lim Ai Wah, who was sentenced to five years’ jail,…

PETER O’NEIL AND GARI BAKI COMBINED TO WRITE A NEW CHAPTER IN THE BRIEF POLITICAL HISTORY OF PNG.

Image
byLEKEM LAKI
Papua New Guinea gained independence from the neo-colonial Australian administration in September 16, 1975. Since then, we have had seven Prime Ministers in the likes of Sir Michael Somare, Sir Julius Chan, Sir Rabbi Namaliu, Paias Wingti, Late Bill Skate, Sir Mekere Morauta and the controversial incumbent Peter O’Neil.

Under the leadership of previous Prime Ministers, country enjoyed tranquility with transition of changeover of leadership (PM) through political manoeuvre but peacefully and done and dusted in the spirit of the constitution. Never had one time experienced a political coup except the incumbent wrestled and forcefully taken over a legitimate government that of Michael Somare. It is telling the tenacity of the aggression to grip on to power by becoming untouchable by laws of the land. He has written a new chapter in the brief political history of PNG and is typical of a thief and remember this, a thief comes to steal, destroy and kill.

Never had one time, we …
