A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING?

Image
by TED TEMO James Marape is the biggest liar, betrayer and hypocrite of all time.
He is the definition of a wolf in sheep's skin.
He was PNC, part of PNC and served as the longest serving Finance Minister for seven (7) consecutive years in the PNC Party government.
He resigned from PNC Party and lied to this country and her people that he didn’t want to be part of a corrupt O’Neill government. However, to date he has not produced one single evidence and or laid one single complaint with Ombudsman Commission or Police National Fraud and Anti Corruption Directorate on his claims.
He was never genuine from the start. He said he only wanted to remove O’Neill and never wanted to be PM. However, in Laguna camp, he forced himself by putting his name down on VONC Motion Paper has the candidate for PM hoping that he will attract the numbers. Needless to say, he never attracted numbers and so fall short of the required majority (magic number) which is 56 MPs.
In failing his bid, he then went t…

I SUPPORT PRIME MINISTER JAMES MARAPE TO LEAD PNG

Image
by DON POMB POLYE

I do realise in the mind of the young a DESIRE FOR MORALLY  UPRIGHT ways of life for PNG. An UPRIGHT life for THEMSELVES, do they crave for!!!. The inference I have deduced expressed in social media and talking to many of them is that,  the  poor leadership  that some leaders have provided  has hampered their progress and success. The conduct of some leaderships have set very bad precedence that has misled many of them. The young have been confused as to which is the right example to follow or who would be the  correct lifestyle role model to emulate in National leadership, public service,  private sector,  in  or in other fields. The success stories are very rare in this country while  corruption and failure  is very  frequent and prevalent in their daily lives. The confidence of many of our  young has dwindled. This is very serious matter!!!

PNG’s Challenges and Opportunities – 100 Day Plan

Image
by PAUL FLANAGAN PNG’s new government is proposing a 100 day plan. What should this consider? A good plan begins by fully understanding the challenges and opportunities facing its people. This understanding is improved by seeing how one is going relative to neighbours (comparative public policy analysis).
The list below from the ADB highlights that PNG still faces massive development challenges. It is saddening to see PNG’s poor rankings. PNG’s politicians have been failing their people.
On opportunities, PNG leads the world in key areas such as its cultural richness (1st), the extent of its tropical forests (3rd for the entire island), and its extraordinary biodiversity (PNG is one of 17 megadiverse countries in the world).

In terms of mineral and petroleum wealth, it actually does fairly poorly – even in LNG its ranks 47th and petroleum 62nd (details below).
In going forward, PNG needs to change its self-image of “mountains of gold in seas of oil”. This myth (at least in world terms…

MARAT IS RIGHT, O'NEILL'S ICAC BILL IS WATERED DOWN, NOT INDEPENDENT, SHUTS DOWN TFS

Image
by MELL LAKA
I would like to shed some light with you on the proposed Bills that are being pushed by the government to be passed in parliament, namely the Independent Commission against Corruption (ICAC) 2014.

First of all it must be understood that any alteration to the Constitution must be passed by an
absolute majority vote in parliament as per section 14 of the Constitution which means that the government needs the opposition's number. The introduction of the Bill (ICAC) was introduced 2014 where we saw a number of politicians and high profile individuals being investigated and prosecuted
by several bodies that were not subjected to the directions of the NEC or for that matter.

The purpose of the bill before parliament is to alter the Constitution by inserting a new Division under Part VIII of the constitution and that is Division 3. The purpose of Division 3 is to give
effect or establish a Commission called the Independent Commission Against Corruption. The main function of …

2017 BUDGET BLOW-OUT

PRESS RELEASE by Rt. Hon SIR MEKERE MORAUTA MP

Former Prime Minister and Member for Moresby North-West Sir Mekere Morauta said today that at last some members of the PNC Government have admitted that the Papua New Guinea economy is in difficulty.  Sir Mekere referred to the media statement by Deputy Prime Minister and Caretaker Treasurer Charles Abel, who said that the focus of the government in its first 100 Days would be on “economic recovery”.

Sir Mekere noted that this was an interesting admission and use of words by Mr Abel, because the Prime Minister has consistently refused to recognise that the economy is in recession, and has mismanaged public finances in such a way that has allowed the recession to intensify.
“My advice to Mr Abel is that before he launches into any “recovery” measures, he needs to repair the budget and reform his Prime Minister and curb his extravagant and uncontrolled spending and borrowing,” Sir Mekere said.

“The non-mining sector, on which the majority o…

PETER O'NEILL forcefully Orders all PNC endorsed Candidates to be declared winners in all SHP Seats

Image
byPAUL RUNDUWALI You may be wondering why the counting in Southern Highlands Province is so slow except for the Ialibu-Pangia Open where O'Neill manipulated and orchestrated the voting and counting and declared himself as a winner in a dictatorship style. The reason is, it is Mr.O'Neills ploy to get the seats in SHP by force and declare his PNC Candidates.
At this time, O'Neill critically needs the numbers to form the government, failure to master the numbers means, he will loose the PMs post and ends up in the opposition and thus, it is evitable that he will further spend another luxury life in  Bomana.  For this reason, O’Neill is using delay tactic in a pursuit to make all SHP seats for PNC  candidates and get the number needed to form the government.  According to insiders (names withheld)  in ,Mendi, Southern Highlands Province,   large sum of money from the ruling party (PNC)  is being brought into the province, possibly to bribe counting officials.  Le…

MANASE'S DIRTY TACTIC COST THE LIVES OF TWO COPS, DEMAND TO BE DECLARED - DUMA DID IT IN HAGEN, DIRTY LAWYERS AGAIN!

Image
by TONY JOHN
By observation, the counting for Kandep Open Electorate In Enga Province is set against the Sitting MP  Don Polye to fail miserably at all cost and by all means.

Counting resumed on the 13th July in Wabag Primary School Officiated by the Kandep RO Mr. Besave. It is widely speculated and believed that boxes discharged for counting are handpicked from various wards containing the base votes for an Intending Candidate and PNC Party nominee Mr. Alfred Luke Manase, leaving the remaining ballot boxes for Hon. MP and Opposition Leader Mr. Don Pomb Polye yet to be counted.

With the remaining boxes at risks of being tempered or destroyed, the chance is whoever is leading to be declared outright and writs to be returned before 24th July which is the deadline date set for writs to be returned.

Whoever that is giving directions or being behind the curtain to master the event knows very well that by doing so will place the PNC CANDIDATE in the lead before other plans for disruption an…

HOW PETER O'NEILL RIGGED THE NATIONAL ELECTION WITH AN ARMY OF GHOST VOTERS

Image
by PAUL FLANAGAN
Statistical indicators suggest the O’Neill government has used its power of incumbency to ‘cook the books’ in its favour. Comparing the 2017 electoral roll with population estimates by electorate based on the 2011 census, the Electoral Commission has created nearly 300,000 “ghost voters” in PNC controlled electorates.  This is 5,682 “ghost voters” for every PNC sitting member. This is over 10 times the number of “ghost voters” for non-PNC sitting members. PNC members are also being declared elected based on “mathematical impossibilities”.
PNG’s vibrant democracy, including its extraordinary diversity and combination of individual choice and clan loyalties, may still be able to overcome such electoral bias in favour of O’Neill. This may depend on the Biblical and moral choices about to be made by new Independent members. May they choose wisely and morally, not just chasing the money politics of the PNC and its likely manipulation of the election, when th…

PNC CANDIDATE GOES APE COMMMANDO OVER BALLOT BOXES

Image
by TONY SULUPIN A PNC candidate running for Lagaip Porgera open, Nathan Piari must be arrested and criminally charged for discharging firearms at the polling venue. On the 08th of July, the polling was to take place at the Kanak council Ward in the Pilikambi LLG. The four clans of Kaimul tribe unanimously agreed that due to irregularities in the common roll, they wanted to share the ballot papers among the four clans.
After signed papers were distributed by the presiding officer according to their wish, a feud erupted between Mr Piari's supporter and another within the Walyage clan over their share of 561 papers. The suspect who was armed with a pistol fired several shots at the voters injuring one elderly woman on her leg.
This angered Ambai and Kulip voters hence retaliated with stones, sticks and other missiles thrown at Piari's supporters A stand-of developed into an horrific situation which saw few houses were burned down by an angry mob together with an old man burnt alive…

SO JUST HOW MANY PNC MPS WILL RETAIN THEIR SEATS

Image
by BRYAN KRAMER I was informed when the same question was put to Prime Minister Peter O'Neill he responded more than 50. On 21st April 2017 I published part 2 of an article "Will Peter O'Neill return as PM" Where I explained that PNC were likely to return upto 15 to 20 of the 53 sitting Members of Parliament following the elections. "This will be largely due to those members winning on their own popularity and having actually delivered some form of services to their electorates. Add to this the fact they will also be heavily financed by their party (PNC)" "There will also be some PNC members who may retain their seat relying on wide scale bribery and vote rigging." You may click on the link below to read full the article.
https://www.facebook.com/kramerreportpng/posts/996808673788772 So far two PNC candidates have been returned are the Members for Moresby South Open Justin Tkatchenko and Tari-Pori Open James Marape. Now I expected both to retain th…

THE GAMATO -LUPARI-PNC- ELECTION FIASCO

Image
Electoral Commissioner Patilias Gamato’s responses and comments at his media conference yesterday raise serious questions and concerns about the election and the mismanagement and irregularities that have been revealed, and confirm he is not in control of the operations. Papua New Guinea deserves more than the unsatisfactory and contradictory answers from Mr Gamato and the suspicious silence from Isaac Lupari. “Mr Gamato spent yesterday afternoon smiling away and treating legitimate questions as something to laugh about,” former Prime Minister Sir Mekere said today. “Very important questions were brushed aside as if they didn’t matter.” For example where is the electoral roll? It is extraordinary that it is still not publicly available so voters and candidates can check its accuracy. “What are Mr Gamato and Mr Lupari hiding,” Sir Mekere asked. Mr Gamato’s statement that voting would not be extended in areas where one-day polling was reduced to a handful of hours is totally unacceptable. “…

The complaint was formally laid against him with the Sexual Offence Squad (SOS) in Kokopo, at the Kokopo Police Station on February 7, 2017.
