Minister appoints crony as UPNG Chancellor to steal UPNG Land

Image
by MARK TUPAI
A little boy who happens to have gotten lucky by spivying Leo Hannet of the airport land to build his property estate is now the Chancellor of PNG's premier University.

Kennedy was appointed by the Minister for Higher Education as Chancellor of UPNG. Don't we have other statesman with credibility to be better candidates for this job? This is suppose to be PNG's Premier University. The appointment of Jeff Kennedy is a joke. Aside from that. It's a conflict of interest case. Apparently the Minister is still a director of Jema lawyers. Jema lawyers is owned by Jeff Kennedy MacRonad Nalle.

The appointment of Jeffery Kennedy is therefore very fishy and at best a setup by the Minister to squander all University funds and resources, take over all project works and more so to steal all unused University land to extend their real estate business. Obviously its a shakeup for the worst, as reported on paper today, instead of good because this appointment has all the…

JAMES MARAPE'S MENTOR IS PETER O'NEILL WHEN IT COMES TO HALF TRUTHS

NIUGINI OUTLOOK  UPNG especially was screaming in December that they had no money left to run the university. It was well known that months ago the PNG government had promised a sizeable amount of money to University of Papua New Guinea, PNG University of Technology and University of Goroka to pay for damages and other expenses that were incurred and not budgeted for by the universities as a result of the 2016 student boycott. The declaration that this money would be given to the universities before classes resumed again last September was supposedly told to university heads by Chief Minister Isaac Lupari in private, and in public by Peter O'Neill and other government officials. It was clearly stated in August 2016 and run on EM-TV news that the following amounts would be paid: UPNG: K12 million
Unitech: K43 million
UOG: K8 million In the case of Unitech, this money was essential, being that 4 buildings were burned to the ground in late June 2016, including the all-important mess. W…

ALL INSTITUTIONS OF STATE COLLUDE IN INSTITUTIONALISATION OF CORRUPTION.
by LEKEM LAKI Intriguingly it is becoming very scary with the psychopath and pathological liar Peter O’Neil at the helm as Prime Minister remotely in control of the country. A lot has come undone by this ruthless regime whilst he and cronies make a good killing. He has cleverly strategized to make all institutions of state become powerless or virtually being paralysed evident by prolonging of milestone court cases against PO and those of his close associates and others getting suspended sentence. Every institutions of state are manipulated or intimidated in a way to remain mute or collude to leverage Peter O’Neil and his political cronies to hugely prosper at the expense of the naïve people of PNG. My heart is pained to envisage people power is not rising to the occasion. The civil society appears paranoid and pessimistic but for what and why? Students alone can’t fight the monster. The students have suffered a lot in…

WILL O’NEILL RESIGN AS PETITIONED?

Image
byELIZAH PAMA

This article analyses PETER O’NEILL’S LIKELY RESPONSE TO THE PETITION presented by the Students at UPNG and it is based on his initial reaction when receiving the petition. The article also contextualises with O’Neill’s entrenched character.

The students of Papua New Guinea in major universities and colleges led by UPNG have Thursday presented their petition to Prime Minister Peter O’Neill through his proxy former activist and now governor, Powes Parkop. The presentation was witnessed by more than 15,000 people who congregated at the University of PNG Forum Square well before the arrival of PM O’Neill’s delegates. For reasons only known the O’Neill, he refused to receive the petition from the students himself.

The Petition was presented at around 3 pm whereby the Prime Minister was given 24 hours to respond and Governor Parkop promised that he would deliver the petition right away. PNG Loop news reports at 5:16pm the acknowledgement of receipt of the petition by the PM. Th…

The Secret Government Plan To Defeat PNG University Students

Image
by WAIGANI INSIDER
The PM and his advisors aren’t dumb.  As it became more apparent what an economic mess the government had gotten PNG into, they were clear that more people would start speaking out. When anticorruption activist Noah Anjo organized his protests last year and MP Don Polye followed, the PM knew that he had to act fast.   The word was sent out not to allow any protests that were against the PM (this did not extend to TI protests. PM believes that TI protests aren’t any threat to his power and by allowing them to continue, he can say that he supports efforts to fight corruption).
The PM effectively keeps his MPs bought off but he fears public outrage.  Last October was the first serious threat to the PM’s authority, when Noah Anjo organized a protest march from Jack Pidik park to Parliament to support a vote of no confidence on the PM.   Anjo’s request for a protest permit was also turned down.  When Anjo got a court order allowing the protest, the PM knew that he neede…
