PNG'S CHIEF JUSTICE COULD BE CORRUPT, HERE'S WHY

Image
by LEKEM LAKI The Deputy Chief Justice his Honour Gibs Salika rightly said in the national paper dated 14th March 2016 titled “Graft a disease” and he referred to the level of corruption rampant in the country cutting across every sector of PNG society. In that he meant to say, corruption isn’t “growing but is overgrown”. The concern raised is alarming in nature but it doesn’t become a cause of concern or raises goose bumps. The corruption is entrenched and deeply embedded in every stratum of government bureaucracy and agencies. The practice is normalised and given the longevity in continued practice, it has become a norm or second nature if you like to people who practice. With the proliferation of corruption, people aren’t remorseful or let alone raise goose bumps. The Department of Justice and Attorney General Secretary Dr. Lawrence Kalinoe refused Damarua’s request to engage private law firm. Damarua and the entire Fraud Squad team aren’t fighting tooth and nail the monster (ov

RATTLES AT SUPREME COURT- CHIEF JUSTICE PERSONAL STAFF REFERRED TO FRAUD SQUAD

Image
by PAUL IROKON The Chief Justice of the National and Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea, Sir Salamo Injia from Tsak Valley, Wapemananda, Enga Province is certainly no stranger to controversy. In the past, Sir Salamo Injia has been accused of killing a pedestrian (a young child) in a motor vehicle accident. He was accused of mismanaging money entrusted to the Court and charged, but his case ended up being dismissed. He was accused and charged with sedition, however the charge was later withdrawn. He was suspended as Chief Justice on the 9th of November 2011, however his suspension was later lifted. He stands accused of turning a blind eye to certain allegedly Gay expatriate Judges when sodomy in PNG is a criminal offence under the Criminal Code Act, and he also stands accused of playing politics and not performing his constitutional duties as required under the Constitution. It is common knowledge among legal circles that Rachel Tony from Central Province, the private secretary (

PNG EMBASSY IN SINGAPORE CLOSED: OFFICIALS KICKED OUT

Image
Reliable source in Singapore have confirmed to PNGBlogs that the PNG HIGH COMMISSION in Singapore was CLOSED as of TUESDAY 11th April 2017. The PNG HEAD OF MISSION and his staff have been kicked out of their office at 1 Marine Parade, Central #08-05, Singapore 449408. The reason being the PNG Government not being able to pay its bills and having sufficient funds to keep it's office operational. The High Commissioner is said to be operating out of his home in Singapore as of yesterday (12/04/17) but may soon find himself and his staff kicked out of their homes anytime from today onward if bills are not paid.  What will happen to repatriation of the whole staff etc? Can someone close to the PNG Foreign Affairs Minister Rimbink Pato get this message to him to substantiate if this information is true and respond to this matter asap please. This issue if true will soon be another international embarrassment for PNG Government.

INTERNATIONAL SHAME! PNG'S US CHANCELLERY ISSUED DEMAND NOTICE - PAY LEASE OR GET EVICTED

Image
Dear, Minister Pato and Secretary Dihm, Its not an enviable task to be the one delivering unenviable news. Anyway, the Landlord of the Embassy Chancellery, not having received the rental lease payment for the month of March and fearing possible long delays as in the past, and despite assurances, has issued a letter demanding full payment of lease rentals for the month of March and April by the 1st April 2017. The attorney of the Landlord had been copied the letter to its attorney, which essentially is a standing instruction to secure from the courts, an eviction order to effect the eviction of the Embassy from the current chancellery location if said payments are not received in full on or by the date cited in the letter. Attached are Ambassador Mulina's cover letter along with the Letter from the Embassy Landlord. We hope quick appropriate action from headquarters can prevent eviction. Thank you Elias R. SYMBOLIC SLEEZEBAG OF THE CORRUPT PETER O'NEILL REGIME - RIMBINK PATO OF WAPENAMANDA

Image
by SAMSON LENKI WALO The recently published photo of "The Duck" at Jackson's airport, in all his glorious obesity, doing some kind of deal on his mobile phone, may go down in history as a classic, symbolic picture of what Peter O'Neill's government has come to be known for: corruption sleeze and greed. It's not just The Duck's image of uncontrollable gluttony. Examine his history and you will discover that even the harshest interpretations of what that big fat belly represents behind the scenes are no exaggeration. The story of Rimbink Pato is a story that covers more than 20 years. It intertwines in an intriguing way with other notables, including Paul Paraka and former MP Peter Yama of Madang. INTRIGUING INTERRELATED TECHNIQUES OF PATO, YAMA AND PARAKA Let's start with the basics. Rimbink Pato is a lawyer. Not a particularly good lawyer, but one who was determined to get rich. The way Pato got rich, and the wa

Proliferation of Corruption Unhindered has Raised its Ugly Head in the Courtroom Resulting in Impaired Judgments and Normalization of Corruption by Venerate Judges

KUA & PATO AS CORRUPT, OR WORSE THAN PARAKA.

Image
by JOHN KAUPA The current Minister for Foreign Affairs Rimbink Pato and the then Minister for Justice and Attorney General Kerenga Kua both conspired, or otherwise played the most dirtiest trick on the people of PNG when they paid themselves Millions ( over K8 million) of public funds. Today Kerenga Kua struts around putting on the robe of righteousness, seeking to fight corruption and publicly portraying himself as MR CLEAN on the public affairs of the nation, while his mate Pato plies the Australians with his silvery tongue. Well what do the facts speak of these men? The Fourth Category of payments (that Mr Wafai refers to in a Statement in his own Defence to the then Chief Secretary when he was suspended for making payments to Paul Paraka) are payments made by Finance Department out of the Attorney General or Justice Department Vote that are directed by Politics and Politicians. What work of equivalent value did Posman Kua Aisi Lawyers do by way of instructio
