Take Back PNG and give it to Foreigners?

Image
by GABRIEL KOTONA There is inside information that an expatriate has been appointed to be the MD for PNG Power! So where does that fit the slogan now to take back PNG?? Do we not have qualified Papua New Guineans who can manage this organization?  The last acting MD Carolyn Blacklock did more harm to the organization than good and where does that support the idea to recruit another foreigner, an expatriate??  My good Prime Minister Hon James Marape, you brought hope to the nation when you made this every Papua New Guineans believe you that together we will make this nation great and wealthy. And it must be Papua New Guineans taking hold of the destiny of this nation going forward.  The rumours if true raises a lot of questions now. It means that this country will continue to depend on expatriates, foreigners and consultants to run it. And I hope this isn't one of the conditions of a structural adjustment program being directed by IMF as a condition to the loan. If it is, then we ma

Why we do not believe Minister Bryan Kramer latest Explaination

Image
by PAUL AMATIO As a Papa New Guinean, I take serious offence at the statements made by Mr Kramer explaining and justifying the high speed arrest, trial and conviction the drug pilot. It stinks of misinformation, misdirection and cover up. In an effort to gain credibility, Mr Kramer paraphrases Assistant Commissioner Lesa Gale of the Australian Federal Police stating that this was a 2 year multi-agency operation involving Australian law enforcement agencies and the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) and that they had been tracking the flight as it left Australia en route to PNG. ACP Gale is credible so that’s fine. His falsehoods start in the following statement that: “At the time Police had yet to obtain any direct evidence of drug smuggling. No witnesses had come forward and no drugs were found at the crash site.” It clearly contradicts his assertions that he had been kept informed of what had been happening. It was a suspected drug run so why weren’t the P

CROOKS IN SUITS STEALING FROM PLANNING (Evidence included)

The mounting trend of corruption at the National Planning Department remains unabated as Secretary Koney Samuel and his FAS – Corporate Services Division, Loma Pamea collaborate and collude to loot and rob the Department mercilessly. The few reported cases of fraudulent payments and corrupt deals by the two senior officers are believed to be only a tip of ice-bag. You could recall a K2 million cheque payment was reported to have been released in late 2018 to the Southern Highl ands Provincial Treasury, implying an element of strong intention to defraud the State through collusion and conspiracy by the two senior officers in connection with the handling of the payment. In that case, Secretary Koney Samuel and the FAS Loma Pamea were believed to have collaborated and colluded to fraudulently initiate, approve and release the K2 million payment knowing too well K1 million portion would eventually be transferred from the transiting Southern Highlands Provincial Government Ac

"Remembering Vanuatu's Declaration of Independence 40 year’s on."

Image
by NIPG Media Unit 40 year’s ago, on this day, July 30th 1980, heroes were made, after Papua New Guinea’s Defence force single handedly and strategically over threw a rebellion in Vanuatu on Espiritu Santo Island. New Hebrides as it was known then was a condominium ruled by Colonial powers French and Britain in the eighteenth century shortly after the arrival of Captain James Cook. In 1975 they created a joint administration of both local and European officials, and some powers were devolved to an elected assembly. However, as independence approached, there was an armed uprising against the plans and a bid for secession on Espiritu Santo Island, led by Jimmy Stevens, a nationalist and politician. Stevens was the leader of what they called the Nagriamel movement. He had declared the independence of Espiritu Santo and apparently started to refer to himself as Prime Minister. The New Hebrides government solicited support from Britain and France, asking for troops to be sent in to put an e

ANSWERS FOR PRIME MINISTER ON LEALEA PLANE CRASH

Image
Aircraft rego VHTSI was transferred to Bull Ltd in Jan 2020. Bull Ltd ( PNG company has changed its name to Ravenpol 69 –  It is owned & operated by Geoffrey Bull. He is part owner & director of TSI Security. Whether the TSI is pure coincidence or not remains to be seen/discovered? The flight left Mareeba & was tracked by the Aussies all the way to final impact. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot turned off transponders etc mistakenly believing this would make him blind to radar tracking. (a lesson learnt from the MH70 fiasco!) The strip at LeaLea is an old disused/abandoned strip but still marked on older and better navigational maps as such. The ever-helpful villagers had cleared it just enough for this flight. The plane landed, loaded the drugs (assumed?) and again thanks to the villagers, was refuelled – the empty avgas drums were on-site, probably still are? This caused much comment as it should have had more than enough fuel on board for a return to Mareeba – if that’s

LARGEST SCAM IN PNG HISTORY

by SAM J KAUPA THE DEMISE OF OROGEN MINERALS AND THE EMERGENCE OF OIL SEARCH HIGH VALUED PNG COMPANY - OROGEN MINERALS WAS MERGED WITH UNKNOWN AUSTRALIA’S OIL SEARCH TO ACCESS HIGH VALUED PNG MINERALS AND HYDRO CARBON ASSETS – UNDER THE PRETEXT OF THE NOW BOTCHED PNG TO QUEENSLAND GAS PIPELINE PROJECT WITH EXXON MOBIL. Mineral Resources Development Company Limited (MRDC) was established in 1975 and was 100% owned by the Government of Papua New Guinea. It was initially established as the State Nominee to acquire the State and Landowner equity interests in mining and petroleum projects and to manage the equity funds for landowner companies from the major resource development areas of PNG. In 1996, during Sir Julius Chan’s term as PM, the major interests of MRDC were partially privatised, through the creation of Orogen Minerals Limited (OML), of which the MRDC held a 51% controlling shareholding. In April 2002 during the Somare reign, Orogen merged with Oil Search Limite

COVID-19 Massive Deception

Image
By: Dr. Samuel Maima Up this very end I am still not convinced with the way we handle the testing of C19. Why? Because URTIs are not only caused by C19 alone. How can we make sure PCR positive is true positive or false negative? We can only do specific C19 antibody tests. Not only that. We have to do specific antibody tests for all other RNA viruses that cause URTIs and exclude other RNA viruses that cause URTI symptoms similar to C19. This is not done here so how can we trust PCR? PCR has 70% specificity and it can’t be concluded as a GOLD STANDARD when it is not. PCR has huge windows of both false negatives and false positives because PCR can not delineate the RNA viral nucleic particles when the RNA polymerase enzyme is added. This is a technical issue. For example, the positive PCR to C19 for the Asaro lady was not C19. It was HIV with opportunistic URTI infection all got screwed up by giving false impression onto the data of C19 included in the 9 C19 positives during the lockdown.
