'Local' Rice firm owned by International Fugitive Djoko Tjadra

Naima Agro Industries Limited, the rice company that will grow rice at Bereina Central Province is owned by International fugitive Djoko Tjandra. Tjandra is the owner of Mulia Group, an Indonesian Multi-National Company that owns Naima Industries. Papua New Guineans were misled by our Government to believe that a PNG Citizen Eleana  Tjandranegara was the sole owner of Naima Agro Industries. Naima will recieve a tax holiday from the Government of PNG to get the Bereina rice project underway. What has until now been the only cause of uproar has been a proposed import tariff on all rice in PNG, virtually driving the rest of the rice industry in PNG into the ground as all rice in the country right now is imported. The import tariff will virtually tilt the rice market to Naima's advantage and has the potential to drive Trukai, EzyCook, Homestate and Goodman Fielder's Flame rice brands out of production. The set-up will see Naima dominate the rice market. Naima is owned

Parkop is wrong and misleading the public on Law, Practise and Precedents

Powes Parkop was my Lawyer and represented my people in a claim against the government in the past, and I had faith and trust in him. Today, and after reading his repeated article on the Papers, Iam convinced he has departed from the path of truth that I found him on when he was a young lawyer. I suppose money and political power do leave their corruptive and corrosive strains on a man's seat of intelligence, and I might just begin to believe some of the rumors of the City Hall making the rounds. That aside, I firmly believe Parkop is actively seeking to mis-lead the public and thereby falls in contempt of the express Court Orders of the Supreme Court made last December on the Reference by the East Sepik Provincial Government. If Luksave's comment is true of Marat filing a Reference in the same Court to justify ONeill-Namah's legitimacy, then Parkop is in deeper  Conempt of the Supreme Court by deliberately and scandalously seeking to 'yoke' the Supreme

PNG has ‘lost control’ on illegal immigration

Source: PNGEXPOSED BLOG PAPUA New Guinea does not have the capacity to monitor and clamp down on illegal immigrants entering the country, reports the Post Courier. Government authorities say the problem is huge and complex as the illegal immigrants are entering through sea ports in the provinces where there is very little or no processing facilities. Immigration and Foreign Affairs office including Customs this week told the Post-Courier that the issue has gone out of hand because of the fact that duties have been compromised, no facilities and resources to tackle the problem and those involved have already widely established themselves and working with elite leaders and MPs in the country as partners. The country’s spy office, the National Intelligence Organisation is the worst affected because there is very little or no resources and funding to handle the task of maintaining the illegal immigrants coming into PNG. Insider speaks out

By FAFTI YOKOMO Hello Everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to put things right as I have been getting alot of emails and requests about this whole issue. When I posted this, my intentions were clear, I wanted to get the media to conduct their investigation as journalists. I NEVER ecpected anyone to believe my story, or even invite me into groups or to be their friends. My actions were plainly to get the truth out. I am going to tell you all little bit about myself. I am an Intel Officer with the government (for more than 12 years). I, including some of my colleges, joined the O'Neil/Namah faction to assist them due to the lucrative pay package. I assisted the faction in its deals, some which involved bribery and corruption. I soon realised that it was not what I signed up for..., to be the eyes and ears for the politicians and provide security and advice where necessary. Therefore, a couple of my colleges and myself requested transfer back to ou

Borderless instability in New Guinea

By: JACOB ZENN The year 2011 was a tumultuous one for the island of New Guinea, the world's second-largest and perhaps most politically divided island. Papua New Guinea (PNG), the independent country on the island's eastern half, suffered from a four-month political standoff that was at least temporarily resolved in late December. On the island's western half, consisting of two Indonesian provinces, what started out as a strike over wages at the Grasberg mine spiraled into four months of protests which fueled a revival of the Papuan independence movement. While relative peace had been restored on both sides of the island by year's end, lasting stability will depend on a number of mutable factors in the year ahead. The key figure in the PNG political crisis - and also the key figure in the country since its independence - is Sir Michael

TNI scrambled jets but stopped short of forcing Jet to land after learning Deputy PM was onboard. By: Fafti Yoko This is to all the people of this so-called Independent State of Papua New Guinea, aka Christian country or whatever prestigious vocabulary you wish to choose. We would like to bring to light a questionable activity within the new PNG Immigration and Citizenship Authority or PNGICS. This activity happens during the night, while most of you are settling down trying to go to bed or maybe out having fun, dangerous people are penetrating our borders and using PNG as a safe-haven. The one of here is an Indonesian fugitive businessman, namely Mr. Joko Soegiarto Tjandra. He enters PNG on a private/chartered jet late in the night when all commercial flight for Air Niugini, Airlines PNG, Virgin Blue and Qantas has closed and seized for the night. Some of you reading this may know Joko or Djoko. He is wanted by the Indonesian Supreme Court and Interpol (International Police) for Fraud

More questions for PIH

By Peter Korimbo  Pacific International Hospital (PIH) was registered under suspicious cirmcumstances. When the issue of registration came up with the Medical Board of PNG (chairman late Dr Pangatana), there were many issues the PIH had to fulfil before a licence was granted to operate as a hospital. The Health Minister at the time used his ministerial power to order the Medical Board of PNG to grant the licence. It was common knowledge at the time that the particular minister a “very close” friend of the principal owner of PIH. The ownership issue of PIH has to be revealed so the PNG people know. A foreigner came into our country convinced a retirement benefit fund to purchase the property and turn it into a hospital. Unfortunately, the general public may wrongly believe that the hospital belongs to the retirement benefit fund. Only few years ago Motor Vehicle Insurance Ltd bought shares in PIH.
