Removing these carving, the right thing to do.

The Sacrilege of Parliament & the Demarcation between State & Religion

Image
By GABRIEL RAMOI The sacrilege committed by Theo Zurenouc  in destroying work of Art by PNG Master Carvers  displayed in Parliament is akin to Pope Fransis ordering the destruction of the  work of Art by Michael Angelo in the Sistine Chapel. The idea that by removing this works of Art , Parliament  and the Body Politics of PNG will be cleansed  from  Dark  Pagan  Forces  associated with this body of Art Work is a misguided attack  on our  aesthetic past that has helped define us as a people.  The sacrilege to parliament is  based on the interpretation  of the  Christian Covenant  in the new testament bible  with the Semitic  God of the old testament Bible and  that there can be no worship of  idols  but that of the  one true God Yahweh . That this  idea forms the Fundamental Philosophical and moral basis upon which Modern PNG is constructed upon and must be held on to the exclusion of any other belief system to give meaning and Christian purpose to our Modern Government is erroneous.

Papua New Guinea’s Sir Nagora Bogan will determine outcome of the trial of University of Technology Vice Chancellor Albert Schram

Meet Sir Nagora Bogan, Chancellor of the PNG University of Technology (Lae) and head of the UniTech governing council. We have investigated Sir Nagora.  He has a respectful record of service as a former ambassador to the USA and serves on the boards of many PNG institutions, often as chairman.   Having lived abroad for years, Sir Nagora seems to understand that universities only become national treasures if they are corruption free and compete successfully on the global playing field.   Sir Nagora gives the impression of an ethical man unafraid of taking whatever action is needed to straighten out organisational messes.  His credentials and power automatically make him the captain of TEAM GOOD on the UniTech council. CAPTAIN OF TEAM GOOD:  NAGORA BOGAN OTHER LIKELY TEAM GOOD MEMBERS:   Mr Alan McLay, Dr Ken Ngangan and Mr Joseph Hamylton.   Also voting representatives of the UniTech National Staff Association as well as the Student Representative Council and the Acting VC of UniTech, P

By PAUL J PERAKIN In today’s world, a country or a people’s reputation is determined by what the world’s more educated people think.  Such people are widely read, sometimes well travelled, and able to carry on an intelligent conversation on many topics.   The most respected media companies want such people as bureau chiefs and reporters, because smart, educated people are curious enough to investigate and compare extensively before writing about some event happening in the world.  These writers inject the perspective of a well educated mind into whatever they write and if they want something to look foolish, that’s what they do. Already there are plenty of crazy PNG things coming out of crazier beliefs that these reporters can write about.  However, the prize of the year just landed in their inbox.   The prize comes in the form of MP Theo Zurenuoc an obvious cargo cultist who believes that if he gets the symbols right around the parliament building, a magical airplane will descend from
