GO ROT IN HELL, Peter O’Neill Tells UPNG, UNITECH, UOG and UNRE

Image
The ridiculous Western Pacific University Fantasy Dream progresses, to take in its first students just before the 2017 election and managed by the Australian Royal Institute of Technology. Meanwhile, PNG’s existing public universities continue to deteriorate and already know that they’ll receive very small increases in funding for 2015, probably not even enough to keep above cost of living rates. It all sounds moronic but Peter O’Neill’s dream isn’t producing a peep of protest from any one of the MPs that make up his near-monopoly government nor the department of education itself. Who says we have a vibrant democracy where people aren’t afraid to speak out against idiocy? By a Angry Parent of a PNG Uni Student How many more times will Peter O’Neill slap our PNG public universities in the face? He has seen all the reports about their unprecedented decline. All he really has to do is remember his time at UPNG and compare it against the rundown campus he sees today. Our universities a

Doing the Right Thing With Respect to the UBS Loan Prosecution Against Peter O’Neill

Image
By JASON K WAUGLE Pondros Kaluwin is fairly well respected as a Public Prosecutor. Most believe that he has fought for justice during his career. Of course, the same is said about many people until they are given the test of their lives. The moment they face political pressure or threats, many good people will find that their strong will was never that strong. These people might be ethical and do the right thing under normal circumstances, but when evil raises its head high and the devil blows strong winds, their moral willpower is not strong enough to stand up and continue to do the right thing. At worse, they become a sell out. More often, they try to escape their responsibilities to do the right thing. Doing the right thing is what it’s all about in the end. It separates the real heroes from the fake heroes. We will place great respect on the shoulders of whoever does the right thing, even under pressure, because that is the test of how strong their ethics and moral consc

PUBLICIZE WHAT MORE EVIDENCE IS REQUIRED

By NEMA YALO   On 17 September 2014 this writer through the media (The National and the Post Courier) called on the Public Prosecutor (PP) to decide on the leadership referral relating to the Prime Minister. This was because by then 35 days had passed and there was no word from the PP that he was attending to the matter. According to recent media report (Post Courier, 10.10.14) the PP has requested the Ombudsman Commission (OC) provide further relevant evidentiary material to assist him make his decision. At least the nation can be rest assured that the PP is deliberating on the matter. As of Friday 10 October 2014 when the PP had made that request to the OC, 59 days had lapsed and we’re still counting. That computes to two months. According to the media report (Pacific Business Review, 27.09.14) there were three allegations against the Prime Minister: (1) that the Prime Minister failed to comply with administrative and financial processes, including the usual overs

Peter O’Neill Secretly Making Changes To Peacefully Establish a One Party State in Papua New Guinea

Image
By Wilmot Lucas One world government starts country by country by putting one party governments into place.  The collapse of communism in most of the world during the 1980s greatly set back the one world government direction. However, the movement has become reinvigorated and now focuses on subtle ways, targeting smaller countries less noticed by the world.  There is a growing body of information that points Peter O’Neill taking steps that will make PNC into a CPC (Communist Party of China) type political party that will become the only political structure in PNG allowed to govern. Taking advantage of the power new roads and other infrastructure development have to gain the political loyalty of Papua New Guineans - Today more and more Papua New Guineans are choosing development and infrastructure first.  It is less important to them what system of government PNG has.  Those who lived in the former communist countries in Eastern Europe would shake their heads at our strange at

Where Is the Evidence That the Current Ombudsman Genuinely Believes in Seeking Justice in PNG?

Image
By Norman Pelaki Being tasked with referring a Prime Minister to prosecution under a Leadership Tribunal has got to be the highest priority, most important case that any public prosecutor would ever handle during their career. Yet it took nearly two months for Public Prosecutor Pondors Kaluwin to look over the papers concerning Peter O’Neill and the UBS case that was submitted to him by the ombudsman. Why did so much time pass, considering the importance of the case? It’s not like this is an extremely complex case full of numerous financial transactions. The charges levelled by the ombudsman relate to whether Peter O’Neill, as head of the national Government, followed the legally required administrative and financial processes in acquiring the UBS loan to purchase shares in Oil Search Limited. Also, it’s not as if the PP isn’t a lawyer himself, with access to many other lawyers to give him their opinions on the case and any possible gaps there might be. Many minds wor
