Time For Plan B, Students. The PM Won’t Accept Your Petition Or Agree To Your Demands.

Image
by PETER LASKA Thank you PNG Blogs for providing the space for people like me to share some thoughts on the 2016 JUSTICE FOR PNG SAGA.  What I want to write about is what many UPNG students seem to be thinking at the moment.   Those of us who completed their university studies years ago are much wiser today than when we were doing our studies.  We were very idealistic and optimistic.  You might also say that at that age our lack of experience also made us very naïve.   I remembered that today when a friend told me that UPNG students seriously believe that if they push again and again, the PM will finally give in and accept their petition in person.  These conscientious, caring young peole also think that the PM will think about the petition and as the boycott continues, will decide to honour the student demand and step down.    What naïve thoughts!  The students optimism is wonderful to see but once they see for themselves that their optimism is in error, they might well go

CALCULATING DAILY COSTS OF PROTECTING PETER O’NEILL FROM ARREST

by MICHAEL J PASSINGAN SECURITY DETAIL The Security of the Prime Minister of any country should be concern for the citizens of that country and PNG should not be an exception. Prime Ministers do have a security detail. To my knowledge, prior to August 2011, all the Prime Ministers that PNG had had their security detail. At the most, there would be 5 members of the National Security Unit (NSU) of the Police who would provide security to the Prime Minister. At other times (usually), around two or three officers who would be accompanying the Prime Minister. Since the issuance of the arrest warrant against Peter O’Neill, his personal security detail had been boosted to five (5) unmarked Toyota land cruisers on average for the last two years. I am reliably told by one of those persons that this around-the-clock protection to Prime Minister O’Neill is offered, not only by the members of the NSU, but other police officers and PNG Defence members. For the last four seeks since the d

Police Commissioner Gari Baki files an Affidavit to Exonerate Corrupt Justice Sakora

Image
by JAMES PERAKIN Gari Baki has become dangerous and destructive to the establishment of the Police Force under the Constitution.  His latest move to file an affidavit in support of an application by controversial and corrupt judge Sakora is a testament to his erratic and dangerous behaviour. Under the Constitution, the Police primary function is to arrest and lay charges against criminals. What Gari Baki is doing is to prevent the arrest and charging of criminals. Here are the lists of things he had done so far that are on public record: 1. Immediately after taking office, he supported and continues to do so, Peter O’Neill, James Marape and others to prevent the arrest of these individuals, 2. Suspended or terminated officers like Gitua, Eluh and Damaru to prevent the arrest of these high profile individuals, 3. Conspired with Tiffany Twivey to consent to stop the arrest of Daire Vele, Secretary for Treasury, in relation to the fraud involving purchase of two electricity

WHY STUDENTS ARE RIGHT NOT TO TRUST THE MEDIA - THE POST-COURIER CORRUPTION EXAMPLE, OTHER MEDIA, AND THE PM’S FLOOZIE DOOZIES AND SPIN-KINGS.

Image
by WHISTLEBLOWERS * Journo whistleblowers are invited to contribute to cleaning up the media by contacting pngblogs@gmail.com University students across the nation are right not to trust the mainstream media (although that does not mean that banning certain sections is justifiable, or beneficial to their cause). Outlets like the Post-Courier, the National and EMTV are compromised from top to bottom by their own corruption and by fear of the O’Neill Regime’s standover tactics. Some of their journalists are no better than the media prostitutes (the FLOOZIE DOOZIES) paid by Peter O’Neill to spread his word on social media. My example will be the Post-Courier, the nation’s oldest surviving daily newspaper and for decades a paragon of media excellence, along with the NBC. Today it is a shadow of its former self, its reputation in tatters and its circulation declining. There are two aspects to the Post’s corruption - senior management interference in editori

by KEALI POKA Papua New Guineans are genuinely informed that contempt charges regarding non-compliance of the National and Supreme Court Orders were served on Police Commissioner Gari Baki and he refused to accept it.  However, Mathew Damaru had it successfully served on Mr. Baki's lawyer. Baki's other rogue officers in the likes of David Manning, Samson Kua and Jim Andrews have had their Court Orders served already on them. These rogue police officers will have their field day at the courts and justice will decide where they stand and what they should do and should not do. Meanwhile both Mr. Raphael Huafolo (the buffalo) and Mr. Victor Isove are on the run hiding away from Fraud Squad Officers of being served their contempt charges. Both of these rogue police officers will be served their contempt charges when they are found. Any Papua New Guinean who sights them must report them at the nearest police station or go on social media and post their whereabouts so Fraud Offi

Prime Minister Uses Soothing Words To Convince Students To Give Up

Image
Analysis By Denny Nataki Yesterday the Prime Minister carefully chose his words to construct a convincing lie. He did not demand students to go back to class. He asked him nicely to go back to class. He cannot demand because he knows that if he makes a wrong move, he loses anyway, even in a bigger way than if he capitulates to student demands.   The Prime Minister continued in normal fashion, telling one lie after another.   THE LIE:  “his government since 2011 had committed to investing in education for the children of the nation.” THE TRUTH:  Peter O’Neill’s free education policy has resulted in more children who are stuffed into classrooms with no resources and receive a worse education than the students in years before.   They will leave school mostly illiterate and half educated in return for no tuition charged.   THE LIE:  “the government has invested billions of kina into education” THE TRUTH:   Much of this money disappeared into personal pockets and h

END THE SCHOOL YEAR, VICE CHANCELLOR MELLAM! BUT TELL THE TRUTH WHY YOU HAVE TO DO IT! [AND TOK STRET MINISTER TABAR, WE’RE TIRED OF YOUR LIES TOO]

by UPNG ACADEMIC   UPNG Vice Chancellor Albert Mellam says that if the boycott of classes continues, that the UPNG 2016 academic school year will be terminated and students will be sent home. Vice Chancellor, some of us are growing very tired of your constant evading of the truth.  But we will not let you tell the students lies.  It is time that everything gets put on the table. Students, hear this:   at the rate the government has been supplying the university with funds, UPNG has no idea right now how they can stay open in Semester 2.  This is Peter O’Neill’s fault, but Albert Mellam is now trying to shift the blame to you students.   Mellam hopes that Peter O’Neill will pat him on the back for a job well done and maybe promise him more dormitories.   UPNG is not receiving the promised 2016 budget allocation even though the money promised in 2016 was already a reduction from 2015.  The government is dead broke and things are going to get worse in June.  If that is the

Money Starved PNG Government Still Has Plenty of Money To Burn Publishing Its Expensive Propaganda Rag

Image
by SALMA KULI JACOB There is one thing we can be very grateful to the UPNG students for when they burnt thousands of Post Couriers and National newspapers last week.   They probably didn’t realize it but they simultaneously burnt a colourful and very expensive insert called PNG Now.    PNG Now is the official government propaganda piece.   It is published by Isaac Lupari.  In case you don’t know one of Mr Lupari’s highest accomplishments, he was charged by the Finance Department Commission of Inquiry with embezzling K3.7 million along with Guguna Garo, of Paul Paraka lawyers.  The solicitor general at the time, Zachary Gelu, settled the bill for his kickback of the funds.  An additional K800,000 was also paid to Paul Paraka lawyers for their role in facilitating the fraud.  All of this was yours and my tax money.   Read the article:   https://pngexposed.wordpress.com/2010/05/31/isaac-lupari-aided-by-gelu-and-paraka-lawyers-stole-k3-7-million/ That finding has been quietly
