ALL INSTITUTIONS OF STATE COLLUDE IN INSTITUTIONALISATION OF CORRUPTION. by LEKEM LAKI Intriguingly it is becoming very scary with the psychopath and pathological liar Peter O’Neil at the helm as Prime Minister remotely in control of the country. A lot has come undone by this ruthless regime whilst he and cronies make a good killing. He has cleverly strategized to make all institutions of state become powerless or virtually being paralysed evident by prolonging of milestone court cases against PO and those of his close associates and others getting suspended sentence. Every institutions of state are manipulated or intimidated in a way to remain mute or collude to leverage Peter O’Neil and his political cronies to hugely prosper at the expense of the naïve people of PNG. My heart is pained to envisage people power is not rising to the occasion. The civil society appears paranoid and pessimistic but for what and why? Students alone can’t fight the monster. The students hav

Exclusive Leak:The O’Neill Regime is borrowing more money this time from funds held by Kumul Petroleum to try to avoid bankruptcy

by MICHAEL JOSEPH PASSINGAN The O’Neill Regime is borrowing more money – this time from funds held by Kumul Petroleum – to try to avoid bankruptcy. An NEC policy submission from Petroleum and Energy Minister Ben Micah is seeking a K100 million cash advance from the company The submission seeks to formalize what amounts to theft of Kumul Petroleum funds – it is supposedly an independent company with an independent board charged with making independent decision in the interest of the company. Instead it is being used as a slush fund for a corrupt and incompetent Government that has driven the nation to the brink of ruin. The Government can get away with this because Prime Minister Peter O’Neill now controls all the House of Kumul and the funds the group holds. Mr O’Neill, known internationally as the most corrupt and untrustworthy Prime Minister in the history of the Pacific, was recently made sole trustee of Kumul companies. He can do what he likes with the companies and

CAUGHT AGAIN. PETER O’NEILL’S CRONIES TRY THE SAME STRATEGY TWICE TO STOP A UNIVERSITY STUDENT BOYCOTT:

Image
by NIUGINI OUTLOOK Every attempt made by Peter O’Neill’s briefcase carriers (which includes UPNG VC Albert Mellam) to stop the university boycotts at UPNG and Unitech have failed, and they’re getting desperate. They have tried all kinds of divide and conquer tactics. Early on, they tried handing out alcohol and cash hoping to split off some provincial groups from the the rest and failing that, hoping to create campus violence (that would bring in the police). More recently they have tried to separate the do-something students from the do-nothings, hoping to attract the do-nothings to go back to class, thus destroying the boycott. Last Wednesday’s shooting of UPNG students managed to stop that tactic dead in its tracks, as the violence tended to make the students more unified. What happened at Unitech yesterday only looked innocent to the ignorant. What could be described as just another ethnic fight is far more than that. Once more, the O’Neill regime’s tactics have bee

CONSTITUTIONAL MEANS OF DEPOSING PETER O’NEILL HAVE VIRTUALLY VANISHED: THE QUIET DISMANTLING OF DEMOCRATIC STRUCTURES EXTENDS TO THE PNGDF

Image
by JOHN KATI Anyone still doubting that Peter O'Neill has quietly established himself as PNG's first dictator need only look at 4 different pillars of democracy that he has successfully dismantled in their abilities to provide checks and balances on the abuse of power of the Prime Minister.  He has now dismantled: 1/ investigative units of our country, including Anti-Corruption Task Force and until recently, the Fraud Squad (which has been re-opened in a castrated form), 2/ the courts and their ability to provide quick resolution of cases, 3/ Parliament, specifically through the dismantling of any ability for there to be a healthy sized opposition or advancing motions of no confidence, 4/ Police no longer serve the public but serves Peter O'Neill's interests. They have come down hard twice now on anyone opposing his regime. 4/ the police protection of the public.  The role of the PNG Constabulary has been corrupted to now protect the Prime Minister’s pow

MARCH TOWARDS DICTATORSHIP: THE CASE OF THE DISAPPEARING GOVERNOR GENERAL AND OTHER TALES

by JASON WAUGLE This is a story of the latest attempt by Peter O’Neill to dismantle PNG’s democracy and establish himself as a ‘Guided Democracy’ style ‘benevolent dictator’ and ‘ruler for life’ in the style of Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe.   We describe here his successful neutralization of Parliament and of MPs as an effective body to exercise check and balance oversight over the Office of the Prime Minister.   The ongoing obstructions of Parliamentary proceedings has turned out to be a classic example illustrating a repeated pattern of  Peter O’Neill amassing personal wealth and power that is now frightening people throughout Papua New Guinea.   THE PM’s ONE FATAL FLAW:   CREATING TOO MUCH CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE THAT CAN BE USED TO ESTABLISH PATTERNS OF BEHAVIOUR The following information would have never been discovered if Peter O’Neill had not made himself an easy target for a particular logic used to solve problems.  It is popularly called ‘connecting the dots,’ which mean
