Parliament Sessions starts this morning,

State Solicitor Daniel Rolpagarea has recognized Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare as the legitimate Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, amidst the current confusion and leadership tussle over the country's top executive job.

NBC News has obtained a letter by Mr. Rolpagarea to Governor General Sir Michael Ogio, asking him to quote "observe and give full" effect to the Monday's Supreme Court decision.

A copy of that letter has also been sent to Peter O'Neil, and his cabinet.

The same document may have been sent to all heads of foreign missions in the country.

Its understood, the Governor General had acted according to this advise, which got him purportedly sacked yesterday afternoon, by Parliament.

Meanwhile, the O'Neill/Namah government says it was a mistake for the Governor General, Sir Michael Ogio, to receive advice from sources other than the National Executive Council and or Parliament.

Doctor Allan Marat says it was wrong for the State Solicitor, Daniel Rolpagarea, to give direct advice to the Governor General.

Dr. Marat says the proper process is for the State Solicitor to give that advice to him as Attorney General and head of the Ministry, who in turn will advise the National Executive Council, Parliament and the Governor General, accordingly.

He says as it turned out, the Governor General had acted outside the vested interest of the democratic country of Papua New Guinea.

Dr. Marat also called on Grand Chief, Sir Michael Somare to accept the Parliamentary process and the spirit of democracy where majority rules and relinquish the leadership to young leaders like Mr. O'Neill.

Somare Govt is having a 11am Press Conference Peter O'Neill  is alleged to have sent in more mobile police squads from Hagen, Enga and Goroka to provide more security at Parliament House, we hear its also to overpower Yakasa's men in blue. Furthermore, O'Neill's lawyers will file an application this morning to restrain Sir Michael from taking office. Keep you all posted, there is also unconfirmed reports by NBC news that that Sir Michael Somare's reappointed Finance Secretary Gabriel Yer was assaulted by angry Southern Highlands landowners at Vulupindi Haus yesterday.

O'Neill say extra police have been flown in to seize Govt assets.  O'Neill says the extra police have seized the Govt printing office & will seize the finance dept, PM's Dept and Govt house
CHURCHES UNITE
The Churches in Papua New Guinea have taken it upon themselves to deal with the current political impasse between Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare and Peter O'Neil. They are planning on a roundtable conference between the two leaders to find a lasting solution to the current political impasse.

The Church leaders announced this during a press conference this morning facilitated by Transparency International P-N-G Chapter. The Churches say, 6-point-5-million Papua New Guineans want to see both leaders humble themselves and deal with this issue amicably.

They say the best Christmas gift the leaders can give the people, is peace between both factions. The Churches also reminded the two leaders, that PNG is a Christian country and Christian principles must be upheld, as well as true Melanesian culture to talk things out. They've made contact with both sides of the camps on this matter and are awaiting their responses.

They've given the leaders 24 hours to hold the talks because the situation is fragile now and want the current impasse sorted out. Also, the Churches are calling for the formation of a grand coalition, for the duration of this Parliament. They say what is at stake is the 2012 National Budget which needs passing, thus the need for the round table talks.
