THE ILLEGAL REIGN OF THE O’NEILL NAMAH REGIME AND 2012 ELECTION DEFERRAL

It is as clear as day that the "govt" of Peter O'Neill and Belden Namah has been illegal since day 1, 2nd of August 2011. When one considers and accepts this as a fact, then one can begin to objectively view each and every decision they have made to date. Ever since that fateful day, most, if not all of their decisions made have been aimed at one thing only and that is to legitimise their hold on power.

They knew GC Somare, as the legally mandated PM had every right under the constitution to remove them from office. So they went about changing laws, including the constitution to remove him from office, and disqualify him from ever becoming PM again. When they realised that even that was not enough to keep them in power and the Supreme Court was going to find them guilty of breaching the constitution to usurp power, they turned their attention on the courts and the judges.

The CJ, as the head of the Judiciary, faced the brunt of their desperation. When they found that mere allegations cooked up by three tribesmen of O'Neill could not (and did not) stand up in court, they went about looking for some "dirt" they could pin on the CJ, and came up with the Administrative matter involving the estate of the late Justice Timothy Hinchcliffe.

When all of their attempts at smearing the name of the CJ failed, they took the unprecedented step of enacting a legislation to allow them to directly control judges. Now that they realised that they could not infiltrate, corrupt or control the Judiciary and that their sins would catch up to them when the Supreme Court does hand down the decision that their regime was illegal all along, they have decided to resort to the deferral of elections.

O’Neill as PM has just announced that parliament will continue to sit over the coming weeks. I wonder what it is that is so important/urgent that parliament has to continue sitting? Is it another fear that the SC will reinstate the govt of GC Somare as a caretaker govt leading into the polls? Is this the reason why when they failed to defer elections by six months due to public outcry, they have now decided to bargain with the EC to have a 3 week deferral to 18th May?

I propose this: that if the SC does rule against this illegitimate govt and come April 27 when the writs are issued, they would become ordinary citizens and cannot challenge such a decision in Parlt. The SC decision would stand. However, if the issue of writs were deferred and they were still MPs and still attending parlt sittings, they could counter the SC decision by enacting yet another “illegal” law to continue remaining in power.

That, to me is the REAL REASON for wanting to defer issue of writs and continue having parlt sittings when they should have risen by now and be in their respective electorates preparing for their campaign and elections. Just my theory and I hope I am wrong but only time will tell.

  1. SPOT ON. And if May 18. 2012 stands for the Issue of Writs, I pray God Almighty will give wisdom to the SC Bench to hand down its ruling a week or so before the 18th so that the criminals in the O'Namah regime wont have sufficient time to retaliate using the Parliament.

  2. Need not worrying. If May 18 stands and Supreme Courts rules in favor of GC Somare, our friend Luther Wenge will still forbid Parlt again. Otherwise, the SC will this time give its ruling with additional Orders such as preventing or warning Parliament through the Sinasina Speaker from acting contemptously.

  5. The country suffered too long at the hands of Somare and may God have mercy on this nation not to let somare in power again. What benefits will somare bring to this nation. Fact:1.somare spent millions overseas on his health while his people where dying over drug shortages to name a few. 2.somare supporters and family were part of this millions spent on hotel bills, allowances, etc, while visiting somare. Why,why should he be returned, he is of no value anymore to this rich nation. All his policies where entirely to his personal family gain. The change was for the better and the nation is witnessing how rich it is, but a very few people still want the thief somare back and for what? So they can go to the polls with money to buy votes to return them to power to steal, steal and steal. Forget somare and support change for the future.
