Unitech SRC President’s Last Chance: How Will He Prepare Students for the Sevua Report?

It is good to see so many Unitech students visiting this website to learn the hidden truths about Unitech saga 2013. The responses show that a free spirit for change still exists even though the SRC is now trying to distract our attention with other activities. Let them try. The main focus must always remain on WHERE IS ALBERT SCHRAM? Until that question is finally settled.

On that day when the SRC president stopped the boycott, all students learnt that Livingston Hosea will listen to us and nod his head in agreement, then turn around and do whatever he was planning to do no matter what the majority thinks. What he says and what he does are 2 different things. The boycott was a failure was because of the SRC president’s cowardly retreat. For that reason we should always be careful about believing Livington Hosea’s words before we see the action.
Special thankyou goes to the law experts out there who pointed out that Contempt of Court was an excuse the SRC president was hiding behind. The weakness in his logic was exposed here for the world to see.
Notice that Mr Hosea never really answered why he did not demand that VC Albert Schram be allowed to be present at graduation once he was on campus. His continued mysterious silence on directly, clearly answering that main question says a lot about his true character.
But enough about the past. The next big event in Unitech saga 2013 is the Sevua investigation. This may be where our SRC president will shine like a bright kina coin or once again looks more like a dirty rag that evil people wiped their behinds with.
It is said that the Sevua investigation has finished collecting evidence. The PM has already stated that this report is the final say on this controversy although that goes against the legal powers of our court system of which the Sevua investigation is not connected. Will Livingston Hosea take a stand on that?
When the Sevua report is released, we will all see if the VC can resume where he left off. What was he doing before? He was making fine progress at our university in terms of fighting corruption, making sure the money is well spent, and inspiring us students to perform to our fullest potential. Over the past 6 months, the acting bent noodles in charge of Unitech administration have failed miserably to show leadership like what Albert Schram did. They seem to suffer the same sickness as Livingston Hosea. In the coming few weeks watch carefully to see if our SRC president takes action or does nothing on these things:
1. Will the SRC president begin preparing our student body to get ready for the tabling of the Sevua report or will he stay silent, hoping we students forget about this critical event and go off to semester break? Will Livingston Hosea bother to find out from government sources when the Sevua report will be tabled and share that information with us or will he keep doing what the big shots tell him
to do?
2. Will the SRC president demand that Sevua report contents BE MADE PUBLIC to all students and all Papua New Guinean citizens or will he let the government keep that report secret? Will Livingston Hosea show himself to be on the side of transparency or on the side ofhidden words and secret deals?
3. If the Sevua report is as biased as its original terms of reference were, will the SRC president demand a followup enquiry with new terms of reference that are fair to our VC or will he stay silent and help the evil side prevail?
If Livingston Hosea were a true visionary, none of the above would have to be asked. We would all appreciate the leadership qualities of our SRC president and let him go out and lead. Unfortunately, Mr Hosea shows a tendency to bend with any wind that blows from above. Judge for yourself the true character of Livingston Hosea as you see how he responds to the above issues.
