A Special Interview With Shitbag Lawyer Ralph Saulep

Despite his very busy schedule an independent reporter was able to  grab a few moments with PNG's most famous shitbag lawyer,  Ralph Saulep.  Mr Saulep has positioned himself as the man in the middle of all that's gone wrong with Unitech.   Here is the interview:

Reporter:  Ralph, why are you causing such a problem for Unitech with  all the court orders and attempts to overthrow a council that even the government apparently wants to see?
Saulep:  It's because the students love me.  In fact they love me so  much I couldn't come to the Council meeting at Unitech last Friday. I was afraid they would smother me to death with their hugs and kisses so I avoided the place.   Besides, Moresby is where I can make the  most money.

Reporter:  But the court orders.  Why are you putting up one court  challenge after another?
Saulep:  It's to keep the court house staff busy.  Without me they would go slack.

Reporter:   You seem to dislike Dr Schram, who the government now says  is the rightful vice chancellor of Unitech.  What's the problem between him and you?
Saulep:  He didn't ask Philip [Stagg] and me first if it was okay to  look into the Unitech finances, he just did it.  Being Vice Chancellor means you should follow the orders of the Chancellor and Pro
Chancellor and not do things on your own.  Schram was out of control,  first he checked into Unitech finances without permission.  Then he went and tried to figure out why our dearly beloved former Vice Chancellor Misty Baloiloi and former Registrar Alan Sako was being  paid an expensive monthly retainer for doing nothing.  Schram had no authority to do any of that.  He is obviously corrupt.  An honest person would have looked the other way and done nothing.

Reporter: But the Sevua report suggests that you and Stagg might be  some of the most corrupt ones in the Unitech saga.
Saulep:  Judge Sevua is a liar, always has been, always will be. Don't  believe anything in that report except if it says bad things about Schram.

Reporter:   But if you are declared the legitimate Chancellor, hasn't  the government tasked the Council with implementing the Sevua report? Saulep: 
Sevua report?  Never heard of it.

Reporter:  What do you say about Peter O'Neill protecting you and his  other friend Philip Stagg by doing his part to keep the Unitech Saga going for 2 years?
Saulep:  O'Neill?  Who is he?   Never heard of him.

Reporter:  Never heard of our prime minister? 
Saulep:   Stop cornering me or I'll get a court order to have you arrested!

Reporter:  What about Philip Stagg, do you know him?
Saulep:      Never heard of him.

Reporter:  But you and Philip Stagg were Unitech's leaders in the old council!
Saulep:     Stop putting words into my mouth.

Reporter:   Then tell us what you want to say about Philip Stagg.
Saulep:       Never heard of him.  Never ever.  But don't quote me.

Reporter:   The students have bringing back Schram as one of their  demands.   If the courts declare you the legitimate chancellor, how will you deal with their demand?
Saulep:   Schram is evil.  Full of lies.  Lies, lies, lies.   He has  never told the truth in his life, that's why his parents abandoned him and he floated to PNG.   I don't understand, why would the students
want a liar as their VC?  Unitech doesn't need people like him.

Reporter:  Mr Saulep, it seems that you're negative about everything  that you don't deny knowing about.   What can you say to the readers that is something positive?
Saulep:  I like money.  Money is good.  We all need money.  It's only  fair that I have money.   Schram must give me money.   The government owes me money, ask Paul Paraka.  I'm happy to disappear if everyone gives me enough money.   Let the students do a wheelbarrow push for  me, I'll drive behind them while they do the pushing.

Reporter:  I suspect hell will freeze over before the students do any  pushing for you.   Anyway, we're out of time.  Thanks for talking with me, Mr Saulep.

AUGUSTINE MANO PNG'S PREMIER CORPORATE CROOK

PASSINGAN In a significant setback for Mineral Resources Development Corporation (MRDC), the Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea has dismissed the company's appeal to stop criminal investigations into its dealings with landowner funds held in the Pacific Balance Fund (PBF). The court ruled that MRDC's appeal was an "abuse of process" and ordered the company to pay costs of the proceedings. MRDC, a unit holder in PBF, had taken legal action against the National Court's decision to dismiss its case, arguing that the court had no jurisdiction to hear the matter. However, the Supreme Court disagreed and held that MRDC's appeal was nothing more than an attempt to interfere with the police's criminal investigative process.
