"DESPERATION AND DESTRUCTION"

By BOMAI GUNN

PNG is already destroyed; the state institutions, the constitutions, political parties and parliamentary democracy, the economy, leaders and individuals to mention a few. Here are some of the destructions that stems from desperation and self-interest:

  • On August 02 2011, Peter O’Neill illegally sieged power over a legal and legitimate government of Grand Chief Sir Michael Thomas Somare, Regional member for East Sepik. O’NEILL DESPERATELY DESTROYED AND UNDERMINED THE CONSTITUTION OF PNG THAT GOVERNS THE ELECTION OF PM.

  • On 12th December 2011 PNG Supreme Court decision ruled 3-2 that Sir Michael’s ousting was an invalid act as the post was not vacant, and that he should be reinstated. Despite, O’NEIL DESPERATELY DISOBEYED AND UNDERMINED/NULLIFIED THE SUPREME COURT DECISION.

  • In inducing and enticing voters in PNG for the 2012 national election, O’Neil’s illegal government over-committed unbudgeted expenses for free education that resulted in K500 million deficit. A desperate attempt to cover this deficit by borrowing K6 billion loan from the Exim Bank of China has forced the country into historical debt and deficit. O’NEILL’S DESPERATE AND CARELESS ACT HAS DESTROYED AND UNDERMINED THE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY ACT by indebting the country around K14.6 billion mark, which is 45% of GDP (greater than the 35% ceiling).

  • In 2012 general election, O’NEILL HAS ORCHESTRATED AND MANIPULATED ELECTROL COMMISSION THEREBY PRE-EMPTING THE OUTCOME OF THE 2012 ELECTION RESULT. Hence, the election for Ialibu-Pangia was conducted and concluded well ahead of all other electorates in PNG, and with O’Neill the first to be declared winner, all other electorates were made to vote for PNC candidates which is what the current parliament has today.

  • In seeing Belden Namah as a potential threat, O’NeilL then by using DSIP and PSIP funds as “bait”, lured opposition MPS to his PNC party, thereby DESTROYING PNG PARTY COMPLETELY AND BELDEN NAMAH to one-man party (the very party and person that made O’Neill become PM)

  • After destroying Namah, O’Neill sees Don Polye, leader of the second largest party (THE Party) in the coalition government as the next potential threat – one who was capable of causing the havoc from within. Without any reservation, Don Polye’s integrity with the IMF /WB and with PNG politics was again carelessly DESTROYED BY O’NEILL not because Polye was at fault but for refusing to sign a major loan that was unconstitutional and irrational. The THE party is henceforth smashed and Polye is now placed in a difficult position to re-group his party members.

  • O’Neil was full of praise when Tiensten, Wartoto and others were charged and arrested but when the same investigation directed at him, O’Neil carelessly disbanded the much applauded Task Force Sweep Team and DESTROYED SAM KOIM. Sam Koim’s fight against corruption has been highly applauded both internally and externally.

  • O’Neil not only destroyed Sam Koim but CARELESSLY DESTROYED SEASONED CAREER OFFICER SIMON KAUBA, Thomas Eluh and others in the police force and destroyed those in the public prosecution.

  • When it so happen that all other government MPs and Ministers are becoming numb and dumb on issues of national concerns and in the way O’Neill is running the country, former attorney general Hon. Kerenga Kua, a senior lawyer and well respected leader of the Simbu people who does not want to sit back and watch the country go to the dogs had to act in the best interest of PNG. O’NEIL AGAIN AFTER SENSING THIS AS THREAT, THEREBY DESTROYED A MORE MATURE AND COLOURFUL LEADER IN THE MAKING.

  • Due to inferiority complex and insecurity, the witch hunt to destroy potential leaders in the current parliament is primary on O’Neil’s agenda. This time member for Ijivitari David Arore is used as a puppet by master puppeteer to destroy another outspoken leader for PNG, Governor Gary Juffa.

  • For the first time in the history of PNG Police Constabulary history, a dozen of policemen with Police Commissioner Jerry Vaki are serving the interest of PM Peter O’Neill while the rest of the police force are serving the interest of the country. Policemen attacking civilians and civilians counter attacking policemen is the making and doings of the PM. Civil disorder is already looming. O’Neill and Vaki destroyed the very important law enforcing state institution.

  • On the economic front, under O’Neil’s government, the debt and deficit tend to be growing unhindered and up to unprecedented (historical) levels. The foreign reserves have been depleted thereby causing the exchange rate to plunge and consequently inflating the economy.

  • The O’Neill-Dion government deliberately ignore the establishment of Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) which is a grave mistake any resource-rich country can cause given the magnitude of revenue flow and the consequences it will have on the macro economy.

AFTER ALL THE DESTRUCTIONS WHAT IS PNG GOING TO BE LIKE AND WHERE IS IT HEADING TO?
