PETER O'NEILL IS FOLLOWING A VERY SUCCESSFUL STRATEGY THAT ADOLF HITLER USED IN GERMANY TO WIN THE HEARTS OF GERMAN CITIZENS, ALLOWING HIM TO MANIPULATE THEM INTO CREATING GLOBAL DISASTER: Actually it was not only Adolf Hitler who used the trick of building fancy infrastructure to please the people. Next door in Italy, Hitler ally Benito Mussolini did the same thing. A famous saying is that Mussolini succeeded where no other Italian leader could in that he made the trains run on time.
Action men were Hitler and Mussolini! Action men like Pita Ipatas and Pita O'Neill! People like action but usually they don't bother to evaluate what the action is leading to in terms of lasting development that doesn't soon fall down again. People like action but they don't bother to contemplate what will be the end result of all that action to make the people happy. In the case of Hitler and Mussolini it all led to World War II and the killing of tens of millions of people throughout Europe and beyond.
Hitler knew what the people wanted. He built the first network of divided highway freeways in the world. That network was called the Autobahn.
Hitler knew that roads were worthless unless people could drive on them. He was responsible for one of the great German inventions, the People's Car, known to the rest of the world as the Volkswagen. Sold at very cheap price that all middle class and even some of the poorer ones could afford. Everyone loved Hitler!
Hitler built giant sports stadiums used for the 1936 Olympics that were used afterwards by Germans for their sports. They loved Hitler!
He also built many grand buildings during this period, which put people to work during a time of great joblessness throughout Europe and the world. The people loved Hitler!
They loved Hitler (and Mussolini) so much that they didn't resist or complain when Hitler overthrew the democracy that was in Germany and made himself a dictator. The people were blinded by all that nice infrastructure that Hitler had built for them.
As the history of the world shows time and time again, it is usually a very stupid thing to let anyone gain absolute control over a country so that no one can bring them under control in the event that they go out of control and abuse their power.
The people of Germany, so blinded as they were by Hitler's leadership as the action action action man, willingly gave up their democracy to put Hitler in full control. He then proceeded to do whatever he wanted, creating a global disaster and remained in power from 1933 to 1935 until Germany collapsed all around him, the Russian soldiers were close to capturing him and his family, and he committed suicide.
Hitler only needed 1 year of being Germany's action leader before the people of Germany foolishly game him full control. We have had Peter O'Neill in power for 4 years and from the very start we have sat by and watched him gain nearly full control of PNG by tying our court system in knots, paralysing or dismantling our investigative agencies, buying off MPs until PNC held a large majority in Parliament as 1 party and the Opposition collapsing to as low as 3 MPs, using legal tricks and scams to prevent all but one scheduled Vote of No Confidence from taking place, pushing aside tenders processes in the name of 'emergency', putting the police and the PNGDF under his control, taking control of EM-TV and associated radio stations as wholly owned arms of the government, compromising the 2 major national newspapers so that they usually print whatever the government wants them to print and inserts whatever government printed propaganda the government pays them to spread. 
He has full control over many government agencies through the appointment of wantoks and cronies that tops anything Somare was able to achieve in his own drive to become Guided Democracy Dictator of PNG. He has financially strangled the Auditor General so that government books are hardly ever audited anymore and has hidden State Owned Enterprise business performance under the black cloth of secrecy called Kumul Holdings. He has established a giant slush fund in the Department of Treasury to spend on anything he likes and now he seems to have full control of the Electoral Commission which makes it open to all needed manipulations and voting fraud to ensure victory in the upcoming 2017 elections.
Many are no longer asking whether or not Peter O'Neill has followed the pathway of Adolf Hitler in becoming the dictator of PNG. Instead people are asking whether he'll only be in power for 12 years like Hitler before creating a major disaster for Papua New Guinea or whether he'll shoot for the stars and try to achieve more than 30 years in power, as several African dictators, including Robert Mugabe, have achieved.
Whatever happens and no matter how bad it gets, Peter O'Neill will always have his loyalists just like Hitler, whose chief propaganda agent, Josef Goebbels, along with his family, spent the last days with Hitler and his new wife waiting for the bitter end. Goebbels filled the roles that Chris Hawkins and Isaac Lupari fill today for Peter O'Neill. Goebbels loyalty to Hitler lasted to the end, with he and his family committing suicide just before Hitler and his wife.
Peter O'Neill will always have his many supporters, just like Adolf Hitler, whose eyes are covered by the glitter of infrastructure and can't see past their noses on what terrible results letting the national leader become a full dictator is likely to bring to PNG, just like has happened in so many countries of the world where dictators were allowed by the people to take full control.

PASSINGAN In a significant setback for Mineral Resources Development Corporation (MRDC), the Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea has dismissed the company's appeal to stop criminal investigations into its dealings with landowner funds held in the Pacific Balance Fund (PBF). The court ruled that MRDC's appeal was an "abuse of process" and ordered the company to pay costs of the proceedings. MRDC, a unit holder in PBF, had taken legal action against the National Court's decision to dismiss its case, arguing that the court had no jurisdiction to hear the matter.
