The Failed Education System of PNG: Unitech Students Are the Best Proof

By PNG Educator Unitech students continue to show an amazing lack of writing ability in that during the last month they have sent hardly any letters to the newspapers to explain their situation and what they are boycotting for.   On the other hand, the government and the agents of evil in the Unitech Saga have repeatedly and extensively expressed themselves in writing via our newspapers.   They have been writing press releases that the newspapers pick up and print, always giving the government’s propaganda.  The side of evil has also been writing letters to the newspapers to present the Unitech saga in a negative light.  They are winning the media war all because Unitech students seem uncomfortable or unskilled at writing. Why are the students so unable to write a simple letter to the editor?  It is testimony of the pathetically education that our children now receive from our public schools, starting from Grade 1 and continuing through university.   If our children had grown up in oth

PNGBlogs Exclusive “The Sevua Report”

Only Unitech’s students have the power to force a Commission of Inquiry into the Coverup of the Sevua Report and Banning of Dr Albert Schram    By NATIONAL WHISTLE-BLOWER The 2013 boycott by Unitech students should have alerted the O’Neill government that time was of the essence in resolving the impasse at Unitech and preventing further disruption.    Judge Mark Sevua submitted the completed report to government in May.   After a delay of about a month, Acting HERST Minister Don Polye submitted the Sevua report to NEC for endorsement.    Further delay of two months passé before the NEC finally got around to endorsing the report.   A further 6 months passed by without any signs from OHE of progress in implementing the report, nor of taking legal action to make it possible to implement the report.     A recent letter from OHE described in a pngblogs article by another author indicated that an OHE committee itself recommended specific steps to get the ball rolling.    These steps were t

UNITECH SAGA – MAKING THE CONNECTIONS

Image
By: Unitech Insider After following the current Unitech Saga and having followed Unitech Sagas of old; having heard stories from those inside as well as outside of Unitech; reading blogs on the internet and doing a little bit of investigation this far, I will now try to make my connection on the issue of ‘connections’ as it relates to the Unitech Saga.  Connections are good if not abused however evil and corrupt people use the system of connection to get the outcome they desire and with respect to the Unitech Saga are many of these connections. Tribal, family, marriage, cultural, professional, political, business, religious, church, mateship, school-mates, drinking-mates, con-mates, ‘who-you-know’ and the list goes on are all there in the mix. When Delilah Gore took office as the new HERST Minister, she said that she would solve the Unitech Saga ‘independently’. Hello girl, welcome to the world of corrupt and evil connections. So let us start: 1.         Phil Stagg is the smart (so he

High Powered Government Delegation Addresses Unitech Students, Underscoring the Fears and Incompetency of the O’Neill Government

By: Former PNG Journalist On Thursday , the National Research Institute came out strongly against the K3 billion loan approved by Prime Minister Peter O’Neill to buy shares in Oil Search as fiscally unsound.    UPNG students are also expressing outrage at the loan and thus join Unitech students in opposing the prime minister.    A growing national outcry against the O’Neill government is developing around the loan issue, as well as the Paul Paraka corruption scandal, the nationalisation of Ok Tedi and related destruction of the much praised Sustainable Development Programme, and a growing sentiment that the O’Neill government itself has become dangerously dictatorial.    In the midst of all this, a high powered government delegation flew to Lae to address boycotting Unitech students last Friday.    The team was led by Attorney General Kerenga Kua, accompanied by Trade & Commerce Minister Richard Maru, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Ben Micah and HERST Minister Delilah Gore.

UNITECH STUDENTS WAKE UP! YOU ARE BEING TRICKED AGAIN!

By Local Pastor Students!!!!  The very Unitech Council members who leached off Unitech's resources for years and are part of the corrupt Unitech triangle of Baloiloi-Stagg-Saulep are back in power! Last week the NEC appointed Phillip Stagg and Ralph Saulep again to be  the Chancellor and Pro Chancellor of Unitech.   They join all the other former council members who allowed the corruption at Unitech under VC Misty Baloiloi to go on for years.   The former council is  back in power! The interim council that was headed by Sir Nagora Bogan, and who supported Albert Schram and worked hard for his return, have been kicked out of power!  The good guys are out, the bad guys are in again! Albert Schram could be terminated again tomorrow by the resurrected  council of Stagg and Saulep!!  They can get him deported again.  They can foul up Unitech!! You only have until Wednesday's NEC meeting to make your voices heard  against this slap in your faces.   Nothing has been achieve so long
