Stand and Deliver or Move over and let someone else do the job.

One commentator said the PM is likely to be a migrant from Asia because he is so much interested in the affairs of Asians in PNG then those of Papua New Guinea. He further commented that the he (PM) goes out to protect their interest ahead of the interest of Papua New Guinea. I have been following recent news stories about the Ramu Nickel Mine and issues which land-owners are taking up to Court to stop the illegal dumping of mine waste in the pristine Basamuk Bay. I hope they win this fight because it is a fight for generations to come, why do we turn a blind eye on our identity for money? We need to start living within our means. The more we think about what we can get from our resources, we will be left with nothing, we will have a future where our children and our children’s children with be heartless over our choices. I strongly support George Ireng and his group in a bid to stop the dumping off Basamuk Bay. Keep fighting because your voices are now heard everywhere.

In recent weeks we have seen the total annihilation of our State, Papua New Guineans are not mindful of the big picture, we have been blinded by a few incidence that has blinded our eyes from seeing the daylight robbery that is going on. We now know that Government Ministers including people very close to the Somare Family were involved in the cover-up of the swindling of Millions of Kina from a HSBC Bank in Singapore, proceeds of which were revenue generated from interest from Log Exports from Papua New Guinea. Patrick Pruaitch then Forest Minister and now Minister for Finance and Treasury and a co-sponsor of alleged crime kingpin William Kapris knew the heat he was facing when revelations were leaked months leading up to the BSP Robberies, it was prime news back then but after the bank robberies hit the local news stand, attention has been taken away from that, also in the cards then Senior NA stalwart Timothy Bonga with some other MPs and now Member, was involved in a scam with members of the Taiwanese government in swindling millions of dollars from this Chinese province. Yet again we have yet to hear on the outcome of these issues. It seems the luck is with the current batch of Ministers in the Somare government and they are likely to get away with anything. Marat was sacked because he stood up for what he believed in, he could be questioned for paying Peter Yama, but his stand was to abide by the law and he followed the courts orders to pay Yama, He was speaking as a MP representing the people of Rabaul and a citizen of this country when he challenged the duped process involving the LNG and in seeing the big picture of what the future would bring in with this deal. I say he was right, we will be fools if we don’t look 10 – 15 years from now and say we could have looked into this more carefully. I think he sees what’s coming when he said we are not getting enough out of this deal. I really hope Papua New Guineans will know the Huli people by now. Land is something they cherish, They are not easily shaken, you can try but in the long term it will be different. I am speaking as a Southern Highlander.

The media reported that we have had 9 years of growth, I hope it is reflected by the state of our National Infrastructures like our National Highways, the Highlands Highway in particular has seen more deaths in a year than its entire lifespan. I say the bloods of these people are in the hands of the current NA government, they had the responsibility to fix something like a simple pot-hole and yet they can’t afford to do so, why? Because money placed for the Highway road maintenance is being diverted to special consultants, I call them special interest groups who act as “go to” people in Waigani. Growth has to have a trickledown effect, is it affordable? You answer it yourself, when was the last time you saw change happening in your electorate? I would like to reflect on the level of growth in my electorate of Mendi. Last week I was in Mendi, the hype about the Gas province in the once called Western end of Southern Highlands now Hela has a lot of people excited. what has changed in my province and my town Mendi is absolutely nothing, apart from some new shops and a forwarding base for Exxon Mobil in Oiyarip (outside Mendi) it’s just “hot air” Roads in and around town back then were all sealed, back then the budget was in Thousands of Kina and yet they would afford to keep the kids in School, no School was shut, Public Servants stayed at work till 4:06. People worked hard for what they wanted. It’s so sad these days you find people in town who are after money from the Deputy Governor, Isaac Joseph has lied about developments in Mendi, and he has boasted about the views of the people in fact it is him who is profiting from the authority placed on him as Deputy Governor. It’s no secret that he has at least three companies that he and his tribesmen started and have started out work in remote parts of Mendi, all the work done through crooked dealings and done with the blessings of Brian “the Crook” Kimmins (CSTB Chairman).

I visited the areas where one of the national dailies reported in previous months and am ashamed that he can blow out hot air in the media about this and that when the real state of growth is at least 0.9% at least. I hope some of the Mendi MPs supporters or even himself is reading this, stop the bullshit, enough of lying and get down to delivering the services of the Mendi people, they voted you in because they thought you are a Christian and a Pastor, you are turning out to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Stop paying the reporters of the National and Post Courier to write sweet stories about you because its not happening, you can lie all you want about the services going to the people in Mendi but they do not buy the junk in the trunk you are selling. A lot of Mendi elites are tired of your rhetoric, please be real and stop lying and using the media. As long as I contribute to this blog, I will write what I know.
