Government Services Shutdown?

AUGUST 5 will be known as THE DAY OF DISOBEDIENCE in the history of PNG. Generations will talk about it in 200 years time when the common people, their forefathers, felt so strongly about carving a decent honest and pecaeloving community that they deliberately chose to disobey their government, took on the government to do the right thing. It will go down as the NATIONAL DAY OF CORRECTION...when the people stepped in and corrected their government. This is a new and novel innovation from democracy as we read from text books. It is an instrument that is available to us as the common people, to peacefully refuse the government our services and our attention. We join hands to say to the politicians, you exist because of us. You have no force or power by your own volition.

I encourage the Unions to peacefully demonstrate to the government and the business community that we have had enough of corruption, dishonesty and abuse of power. But if you do it for one day and return to work the next day, they will carry on with business as usual.

No brothers and sisters, we must not rest. We cannot afford to rest while the wolves are at the door to tear our barns down and consume us, our resources and our God given heritage. We cannot afford to rest when murderers, rapists and theives walk our streets and wander the corridors of our important offices and corridors of civil service. We cannot afford to rest when our hospitals are neglected and our people are dying. We cannot afford to rest while our children are being taught 5th world curruculum in the OBE system- designed to relegate us to the bottom of the heap, we cannot afford to rest when our land is being stolen by greedy foreigners ready to make us their slaves, we cannot afford to rest while our rivers are being polluted and our oceans being killed by heavy metal sedementation, we cannot afford to rest while our policians are stealing our money and think it is right to do so, we cannot afford to rest when people like Rod Mitchel thinks he has a right to take more than his huge pay packet...no we cannot simply lie down and die.

Our fathers never shied away from a good fight, for the right reasons, why should we now. Ours is a matter of survival. It is a matter of life or death. It is for truth and honesty. Surely there is no greater cause than that!

There has been no greater campaigner for truth, honesty and transparency than Rod Mitchel. However since the THREE SCANDALS were revealed he has gone into hiding. The THREE SCANDALS being the K125 Million illegal bonds, the K23 Million APNG Investment, and the K100 Million MVIL Loan scandal.

On the K100 Million Loan scandal, is it true that Dr Mua was trying to use the money to buy new aircraft for himself? Is it true that Rod and Dr Mua were benefiting from the broking fees from the interposed broking firm, the sameone who did the K125 Million Kokopo deal?

What about Dr Mua, why is he pretending to be MVIL CEO and collecting a fat salary of over K700,000 while he spends his days running his own airline. How many masters is he serving. No man can serve two masters, he either loves one and hates the other. He loves his toys, his aeroplanes. Can Unions explain why they have been quietly allowing this man to steal from the public purse his salary. He is no more than a common thief. I suggest he should repay two thirds of his pay and leave that organisation if he has any pride and self respect. What will his kids think of a man like him? What sort of example is he showing and what sort of legacy is he leaving behiend. I shudder when I see these things. The people of PNG DO NOT DESERVE MEDIOCRITY! You politicians and you giaman CEOs listen, the people deserve better.

The Unions must not leave any stone unturned. We remember a time when Sir Tei Abal, Sinake Gire gire, Kabel Diria, John Poe, Donatus Mola, Bruce Jeffcott, John Middleton, Oala oala Rarua, Iambake Okuk, Paul Pora, Sir Paul lapun, etc...served their nation with fear trembling and awe! Today we have excited little plebs running around pretending to be leaders....I am so sorry for our nation.

Papua New Guinea, August 5 is the day of correction! Let us claim back our nation from the brink of oblivion. Let us walk tall and proud once again, in the footsteps of our fathers. Will you all join me and say no tp corruption, stand on one side and take evil on, wherever it occurs.

I thankyou all my brothers and sisters. I love you all. I love our country. Let us keep our special place safe for ourselves and our children, now and always.
