At last, at last! Someone on the EVIL side of Unitech Saga has made a strong and much welcome appearance on PNG blogs! I refer to today's article "Please, publish the truth about UNITECH Saga so we
appreciate a balance view of story". All indications are that it is OHE Director General David 'Korap' Kavanamur himself or one of his great supporters. He becomes the newest in a long line of faceless contributors, including myself, who together have broken open the doors and opened the windows of Haus Unitech Saga to let some much needed light into the house and expose all the rot. You see, David, it matters not whether messengers of the truth show their faces or not. What matters most are the messages.
False messages never stand up against debate, the truth always shines through. That's why the 'destructive' (as you put it) social media has in the past 5 years brought down corrupt officials and governments throughout the world, even in Australia. It is long overdue for you and your old fashioned corrupt colleagues to realise that social media is the wave of the present, the promise of the future and here to stay. Ignore it at your own peril!
In his many years as Director General, William Tagis may not have accomplished much to reverse our universities' decline, but at least he didn't play dirty politics behind the scenes like you. Putting on your Korap Kavanamur hat, you've brought more disrespect to OHE in the 2 years you have served than a man ought to have permission to claim. You've demonstrated to the nation that OHE has no ability to solve any problem at all without creating chaos. You've worked happily with perpetually korap David Arore. At his going away party, you uttered so many words of praise that genuine Christians in the small audience who put truth and justice above all else, were sick to their stomachs. If you were paid enough, you'd praise the devil and tell us he was saving the world. You have no sense of decency and in that sense you are a Koward Kavanamur.
Then came the student boycott in late February or early March of last year. As can be seen in your signed letter attached to this article CLICK HERE, you promised students all kinds of progress that you never delivered, despite having a year. You wiped your bushy eyebrows in relief that you had tricked the students into going back to class, then immediately went back to dragging your feet. We all know why. You already decided to work against Albert Schram to help your great friend Misty, the former Korap King of Unitek, get his payback. Also, you were getting annoyed that Albert Schram wasn't going away quietly like you hoped, but was fighting for his basic human rights that even fat buffaloes like you are entitled to.
March 2013 turned into April and that's when you attended the meeting of the Korap Kounsel of Unitech. Once more you didn't lift a finger to stop the obvious corruption of the Stagg-Saulep gang. Quiet as a mouse, you let Stagg and Saulep continue their war against Schram! Then came August. The Sevua report was approved by NEC and signed off by Peter O'Neill. Again you didn't do a thing. Just sat on it with Arore, both of you hoping Schram would give up and take off. You had a whole year as OHE Director General to get together a revised
Unitech Act to submit to parliament as well as to legally untangle the snare that Stagg and Saulep wrapped around Unitech. Instead, you let Stagg and Saulep hold the quality of education at Unitech at ransom. Look how fast the government is now moving without your constant interference! Go Kerenga Kua, go!
You made one big error in your strategy. Every time you tried to cover up the truth, there were witnesses to your behaviour. People talked. They got angrier yet at seeing your dedication to injustice. As the secrets came spilling out, they made more people, especially students, really pissed off. You had no idea that you were lighting
fires right and left that would come back to burn you. Instead you played the role of an obese kondom, trying to hold in the truth contained in the Sevua report inside so the truth wouldn't spray out and fertilise inactive minds throughout PNG. But now the Sevua report is coming out and your deceptions are clear. Many in OHE are fed up with you and Minister Delilah Gore knows what your bad advice did to her reputation.
You're trying to convince us that your hatred of Schram was because he carried out "unprofessional behaviour of perversely mobilising students and staff through a secret social media." You treat the social media as something bad! In fact it is creating social movements of decency that threaten to push out korap, manipulating pieces of shit like yourself everywhere. While you technologically live in the stone age (are these good credentials to lead a collapsing higher education system?), students throughout PNG are using social media to educate each other and organise themselves into a forceful power. Against your prayers, social media in PNG is here to stay. The moment O'Neill tries to block any of it, there will be an international uproar that throws PNG into the same box as North Korea as a country that can't stand to face its own truths.

Sorry for throwing more cold waters of reality on your face but now you see it: Chancellors and vice chancellors are on Facebook all over the world. How sadly behind the times you are! You accuse Albert Shram of "using James Cook University in Australia as a 'safe haven' to destroy the image of Government of PNG, the Prime
Minister and Ministers of Higher Education Research Science and Technology, and good work of Professor David Kavanamur and our higher education sector at international level."
Ha, ha! If that's true, why not formally complain? Jame Cook Uni's admin surely wouldn't tolerate such madness. Better yet, ask your daughter to investigate. She attends James Cook University, doesn't she? Is it PNG taxpayers who pay over AUD$20,000 a year to make sure she escapes the piss poor university education that you preside over? You have no guilt conscience. Your family never suffered from PNG university graduates not being able to find jobs. And you've taken on two jobs, one at OHE and one teaching at one of the most
rundown universities of all, UPNG. Just trying to earn a little more money? How sad.
Our government has rightfully earned the disrespect of all, inside and outside of PNG, because of the way our universities have been treated. True, this is a long time in the making. But your inability to speak out against the trend of destruction makes you utterly useless as Director General. Already you have demonstrated no ability to rout out the cancer of corruption from our unis. You would have protected Nasy Misty at Unitech had you been in charge when he was VC. Last year you protected the mismanagement of VC Gairo Onagi at UOG. You also made sure that the top ranking Vice Chancellor candidate for UPNG, a foreigner, was pushed aside so you could hire the second ranking, Dr Albert Mellam. Universities never escape inferiority by choosing second or third best all the time, but that doesn't bother you. Let's just hope rumours circulating about corruption at UPNG over the South Pacific games aren't true, or another pile of cowshit will end up in your face.
Had you spent half as much time focused on our universities and put some high standards for proper financial management in place instead of wasting all that time scheming against Schram's return, we might actually see progress. If you actually used the highest of standards to hire only the best possible candidates, we'd be moving up instead of sliding down. But no. You're the one who highly praised college kickout David Arore as making wonderful contributions to PNG higher education! David, what's the real reason you hate Schram so much that you tried to deny Unitech all the good that could come from his continued leadership?
It's obvious that you have an inferiority complex, just like Nasty Misty, who corruptly ascended to professorship faster than you did. But you rose so quickly people must of thought you had attended one of Narayan Gehlot's career promotion workshops. You know as well as anyone that you wouldn't be a professor in Australia with the
credentials you have and neither would Nasty Misty. Ooops, ooops, your ego is gonna burst! Not to worry. You've achieved something that Nasty Misty only had on temporary basis. You're a PERMANENT resident of Australia - the man who is so sacrificing in his heart and actions to help PNG, and is so terribly dedicated to keeping kina working inside PNG instead of shipping them out through bank transfers.
And what a nice location you live in-Trinity Beach, north of Cairns, hoooot hoooot! Prices of around K2 million for a house there, now how many Australians wish they had that kind of money to live near the gentle sea breeze? PNG Blogs readers, look at where David Kavanamur lives and the price of real estate. Korap Kavanamur, how did you ever get such a lalalala contract from the PNG government to support such a lifestyle? William Tagis never managed it. Obviously you're one of the worst possible role models possible for PNG youth, particularly in this day and age. The only way PNG will ever get out of the mud and aim for the skies is through painful selfless sacrifice by one and all, led by our vibrant university students. Selfishnessness and greed like what you display, we can do without.
Korap Kavanamur, your article implies very strongly that the students are blind sheep being led to slaughter by staff and Albert Schram. Oooohooooo, maybe you think the collapsed PNG educational system now only produces blind sheep that are easily manipulated? Your big boss would be very pleased to hear that. But sori tumas, Korap Kavanamur, there are scattered bright spots yet and Unitech student body is obviously blessed with some of them. Does the SRC president seem easily manipulated to you? Looks to me like he is his own man, clearly serves his students and so far has avoided all your tricks and those of the government! He's a far better role model for PNG's university students than you will ever be.
