O’Neill’s close relationship with the Cragnolinis can be formally traced back at least as far as 2008, when O’Neill was Public Service Minister. During May 2009, Peter O’Neill strengthened his relationship with the Cragnolinis through their joint acquisition of Dove Funeral Services, which O’Neill, Lady Ni Yumei and Sir Luciano still share ownership of. The following year, in 2010, Peter O’Neill (through his company Remington Technology) bought a 34% stake in the Cragnolinis company, Melanesian Travel Consultants Limited. Hence, Max Yomba was appointed as his replacement. In this press conference by the Electoral Commissioner Patilias Gamato, he said that RO Max Yomba declared Lucas Dawa as Member-elect for Gumine Open Seat at Dicksons Oval in Kundiawa. The Electoral commissioner also said after that that the RO Peter Kalpe declared Nick Kuman as Member-elect for Gumine Open Seat "here at the Electoral Commission's office before the Deputy Electoral Commissioner ". This is an extraordinary document .  Amongst the detail is a damning insight into O’Neill’s continuing mismanagement of the budget. There is little doubt that the original 2017 budget was fiscally fraudulent (see here  and here ). The PNG Treasury document indicates, in summary: The budget deficit is over K1 billion larger than forecast only 7 months ago.  The PNG Treasury document states the deficit has increased from K1,9bn to K2.8bn. This will continue the pattern of the O’Neill government having consistently the largest budget deficits of any government in PNG’s history – see here . And the actual deficit forecast is actually over K3bn when including the blowout in interest costs for all the public debt from K1.3bn to K1.5bn. THE attempts to kidnap three newly-elected members of parliament in Papua New Guinea are a sign of desperation by People's National Congress leaders. Failed PNC candidate David Arore (pictured) sought to manhandle the new Ijivitari MP at Port Moresby airport this week in an attempt to kidnap him. This came as the National Alliance-Pangu group increased the number of politicians opting to join it to form a coalition government when parliament begins next week. Prime minister Peter O'Neill denied failed PNC MP Arore and other men were acting on behalf of the PNC in the Port Moresby kidnap attempt. But today there were two further incidents of attempted kidnaps by PNC party elements. There was an attempted abduction of new MP elect for South Fly, Seki Asiga, when a West Pacific Airlines aircraft owned by Peter O'Neill arrived in Daru to pick him up. Shortly after I released my public statement, Peter O’Neill’s armed goons attacked my aides at Port Moresby airport and damaged my vehicle. These thugs, including heavily armed Mobile Squad policemen, are the same ones who, with the failed PNC candidate for Oro, tried to kidnap the Ijivitari Member-elect on 27 July.
